Tessa
"...And then I told her 'please that dress is so two years ago' and I swear she almost started crying. It was so pathetic." Tasha said. The girls and I were all sitting in her room after a short shopping trip.
"That's kinda sad, Tash." Kate shook her head.
"She totally deserved it." Tasha scrunched her nose as if she'd just smelled a rotten egg.
"She was wearing her work uniform." Kate argued but even she knew it was better to give up.
"Yeah, Tess wears one too." Grace added.
"But that's pink with a cotton candy on it. It's cute." Tasha explained and I almost felt shocked because she'd just given me a compliment. Well, indirectly. Even though we weren't on bad terms or anything. When we were alone, Tasha could be fun and even nice.
"I hope I never have to work." Winny added and Tasha nodded eagerly.
"Exactly, I'm gonna marry a rich guy." Tasha grinned.
"Yep, that's the plan. Marry a rich guy, preferably an old one with heart problems and then watch him die or even help him a hand by giving him the wrong medicine. Then boom, you'll inherit everything that's his. But then I met Matt so... sucks being me. Unless he wins the lottery." Kate pondered.
"Maybe he has a secret rich aunt he doesn't know about." Grace added to Kate's little fantasy.
"Screw that, I want a secret rich aunt." Kate laughed.
"Imagine you inherit everything but on the condition that you have to live in her big, old mansion with weird looking staff." Grace said.
"I think I've read a book like that before." I told the girls.
"I knew it sounded familiar!" Kate giggled.
Half an hour later Grace, Kate and I were standing outside Tasha's house. Winny decided to stay a while longer.
"Hang on." Grace said when I opened my car door. I turned around and noticed Kate and Grace looking at me with a mischievous grin.
"What's up? I need to go to work." I told them.
"Oh great, can I come with you?" Grace asked.
"Sure." I laughed. She'd been eating cotton candy like an addict but she said she needed the sugar for energy.
Kate nudged Grace. "What? I like candy okay!" Grace justified herself.
Kate rolled her eyes before focusing in on my face. "You haven't told us about the date."
"Oh right, the date." Grace grinned.
I laughed at the two curious girls in front of me and when I remembered our last date a happy sigh escaped from my lips.
"I think we need to discuss this somewhere else because look at that face. She's looking like a lovesick puppy." Kate told us and I guess discussing it out on the street seemed weird but it's not like I'd tell them an entire story so it didn't bother me talking about it here.
"She does!" Grace gasped.
"You guys so did it." Kate teased and I playfully slapped her arm.
"No!" I exclaimed.
"That's it, we're all going to your work and you're gonna tell us everything." Kate said as if that was final and there was no way to change her mind.
After a short drive to the mall, I ran to the cotton candy stand because I didn't want to be late.
"I'm ready to take over." I told Luke while I was still panting a little.
