I Need You

It's been about a month since I took my exams.  I have 3 weeks until my graduation Jungkook and the rest of the guys should be coming to Arizona the Thursday before my graduation, so in about a 2 weeks and a half.

I have talked to Jungkook everyday.  Kim and I have been hanging out all the time again, like we used to when we were younger.

My birthday is also in a week. I am kind of sad that Jungkook and the guys won't be here for my bday, they will be arriving 2 weeks after, but they said they would call me, so I guess that will have to do.

Anyway, for the next week, Kim and I have been prepping stuff for my party.  I mean, I will be turning 18.

My party is going to be at this party place, and there are going to be lights, music/DJ, all my friends, a few of my family members, karaoke, games, food, etc.  A lot of things are going to be going on and it's gonna be hella fun.

Now, today is my birthday, May 8.  Kim and I are getting ready for my party that is going to start in a few hours.

Just when we are about to go to the party location to finish setting up the last bits, I get a call from Jungkook.

"Hey Jade!  Happy Birthday love!"

"Jungkook!  Hi thanks!  I wish you were here to celebrate with me!  You and the guys."

"Us, too!  We are on the way rehearsals right now, so I just wanted to call before."

Before I can reply, I hear all the guys in the back singing "Happy Birthday" in Korean.

I laugh because I love how they are singing so badly; ironic.

"Have fun at rehearsals!  Love you!"

"Love you, too!"

We hang up and Kim and I continue on our way to the party location.  I am driving because Kim said she would get lost if she drove, but I notice she is texting someone a lot.

"Kim, who are you texting so much?" I ask her.

'Ummm, my mom," she says.  I can tell she is lying, she is a terrible liar. 

"Kim.  Come on.  I know you are lying," I say laughing, "Is it a boy?"

"No," she says and puts her phone down quickly.

"Humm, ok," I say giving up and continuing on driving.

We arrive to the party place and go inside to finish the final touches.  I am talking to the caterers when I see Kim talking to the people who are going to guard the entrance and some of the staff that's going to be "behind the scenes".  She is being very discreet.  I want to know what is going on, but I'm just going to let it go because I bet it is just something stupid.  She can be paranoid.

It is about 30 minutes to my party, and Kim and I are just hanging out making some more rounds.  We set the DJ up, we make sure the guards know what to do, and we get the food all set in place.  I also set the lights up so they are perfect.

When we finish, I stand up on the balcony and look down at everything.  It all looks fricken amazing.  I am so proud of us.  I give Kim a high-five and we head down to the entrance because people should be arriving soon.

I want to stand outside to greet people as they walk in so I ensure that I do not miss anyone.  About 200 people should be coming to my party.  I am so excited!

People are now starting to arrive to my party, so I get situated at the front door in-between two guards, and begin to greet people.

I start to notice that some paparazzi has started to arrive, I guess they got wind of my party.  I know for sure I didn't tell them, so I wonder who did.  Oh well, what can I do.

I continue to greet people for the next 30 minutes, then I decide to head in.

When I walk in everyone cheers.  People are dancing, singing at the karaoke machine, eating, mingling, etc.  I am so happy everyone is having fun.

Now it is 9:45.  The party will end at 11.  So there is an hour and 15 minutes left of the party.

"Jade!  You should make a toast!" yells Kim.

Then everyone begins to yell "Toast! Toast! Toast!"

So, I go up on the stage, grab  a microphone and begin the toast.  The DJ turns the music down and the crowd goes silent.  They dim all the lights, too, and keep one light on me.

"Hi guys!  I would like to thank you guys so much for coming to my party! What a year this has been. But, man, I am glad to be an adult now!  This past month or so has definitely been a whirl wind.  So much has gone on.  I would just like to say how thankful I am for my mom, I love you so much, my best friend Kim, who has been here for me through it all, and of course, my band members of BTS, V, Jimin, Jin, RapMon, Suga, J-Hope, and of course my boyfriend Jungkook.  I wish they could all be here right now with me. But I am--"

Before I can finish my sentence, another spotlight shines on door.  Everyone turns to look at the door.  The door opens, and no one walks in for a few seconds.  Then, I see V walk in.

I gasp in surprise as V, then Jimin, then Suga, then J-Hope, then Rapmon, then Jin, run in and come onto the stage and give me a big hug.

"Oh my gosh!  What are you guys doing here?!  What?!" I scream as I give them all each an individual hug. 

After a moment, I realize, Jungkook isn't with them.  

"Where's Jungkook?" I ask them looking confused.  They all point towards the door and he walks in.

My mouth opens wide and I run to the door and jump in his arms.  I wrap my legs around him waist and he wraps his arms around my waist.  Then, I place my hands around his face and give him a kiss.  I go back in for a hug and then he puts me down gently.

My eyes are now starting to tear up. 

"What are you doing here?" I ask him now sobbing and wrapping him in another hug.

"I couldn't not be with you on your birthday," he says giving me another tight hug.

I nearly forgot there were other people here.  We let go and look back at the crowd who is cheering and "aw"-ing.

We both just smile and I wave and give Jungkook another shorter hug.  

For the next hour, Jungkook and I have not left each other's sides.  We go and talk to everyone together, we get food together, we just do everything together.

The party is about to end when all the guys come and get Jungkook and they all rush on stage.

"Hey everyone," says Jungkook into the microphone as the guys are setting up behind him.  I wonder what they are doing, are they going to perform?

"I just want to wish a very happy 18th birthday to my person," he says pointing to me, making me smile, "So, Jade, we wanted to sing you the song that started this all.  'I Need You'."

Everyone cheers and they perform.

When they are done, I run up on stage and give them all a big hug, and give Jungkook a little kiss. 

The party is now over and everyone has left.  Kim, my mom, the guys, and I have stayed behind to help clean up.  When we finish, we head back to my house.

My mom figures that we all want to stay together, so my mom goes to stay in the guest house while we all stay in the main house.

We all get air mattresses and get the pull-out couches set up in the game room. 

Kim sleeps on one pull-out couch, Jin and V stay on one air mattress, Suga stays on another air mattress, J-Hope and Jimin sleep on another air mattress, and RapMon stays on another air mattress.  Jungkook and I stay awake for a bit on the other pull-out couch watching YouTube videos and cuddling.

I fall asleep with his arm around me.  I kind of wake up when I feel him move me lying down and he lies down next to me spooning me. 

I feel so comfortable right now in his arms, I never want to leave his grasp.  I am so happy he came to see me for my birthday, I can't wait for more memories.
