A L E X I S

A new begin can change everything. A fresh start is what we all need sometimes, erasing all the bad memories that were chasing you until you can't handle it anymore.

Today was my last day in Utah, also known as my "old home".  Leaving this place where I grew up in, and maybe its not as bad as it seems. The feeling where you are leaving everything behind, for the better or for the worst.

Bristol, England, also known as my "new home" was a place where I can forget my past, getting a fresh start to become who I actually wanted to be.  North-ride High... my new school. This is my first time going to a new school, more specifically a boarding school. You know the feeling where you've become so attached to everyone here that you feel like that they are your family. Thats the feeling I always wanted and had. That's my until my parents decided that they wanted me to go away to England to study abroad, for a "better" education.

Personally, I don't think thats the reason behind it. In my opinion, the real reason is that they couldn't stand what was happening to me and needed some space. This was just another lie to get away from me. I didn't even have a say in this, no one decided to ask for my opinion. Mom thinks that because I live under her roof, I need to follow everything she says. I'm almost 18, well 17 , and I should have the option to choose my own life, not some made up person that my parents want me to become.

BEEP ! BEEP !

The alarm clock went off for what seemed to be the tenth time in the past minute. I rolled over snuggling into my warm bed and putting my pillow over my ears. Just as I found a comfortable position again, the warm blanket was thrown off me. I opened my eyes, hissing at the person who ruined my slumber yet again.

You guessed it, it was my mom, Emma Jones Reed!

"ALEXIS JADE REED You are leaving in 5 hours to catch your flight,  GET YOU ASS OUT OF BED!" My mom yelled at me from the doorway.

"Just five more minutes" I responded as I reached out to collect my blanket off the floor.

"Alexis we both know that that is a lie, get out of bed, its nearly 10."

I woke up groaning and checked the time on my alarm clock. I stared at it with wide eyes, I was going to meet my friends in 30 minutes. I found a white halter top and some grey sweatpants, paired with my black adidas nmds, deciding to wear a comfortable outfit as I was going to ride a plane for hours. I ran to my bathroom and did my daily skin morning routine and threw my hair into a messy bun. I was lucky enough to be blessed with green eyes with grey rims around them in direct sunlight, long lashes and blemish free skin, as well as brown hair and a toned body.

When I went downstairs I made myself avocado toast with glass of fruit juice. My dad sits across me typing on his laptop, probably doing work. My dad is Mason Reed, the CEO of one of the biggest hotels in the world, Langham Reed hotels and resorts.
