CHAPTER Fifty Three: Past

KIT'S POV

Lovely is nowhere to be found. But Ice assured as na alam niya ang lungga na kung saan nila plinano ilagay si Lovely.

Hindi pa rin nagigising ang kambal but the doctor said they are out of danger now. All we have to do is wait for their eyes to be open.

I am alone here. Sa kwarto ng kambal. Pinasama kasi ni Hexter si Althea sa pupuntahan nila. As well as Clark and Jarred.

I volunteer myself na magpaiwan to watch the twins na ikinapayag naman nila.

I was worried to my best bud. Hindi pa siya kumakain. Hindi pa siya nakapalit ng damit. Ni hindi niya pa yata siya nakainom ng tubig eh.

He was so damn worried for her.

I just really hope that she's fine. Na wala pang may ginagawang masama sa kanya si Z. Hexter will be furious seeing Lovely being tortured.

Isa lang naman ang pinagmumulan nito eh.

"Their rules."

Their rules. Kahit kaming lima ay wala pa ding alam sa sinasabi nilang Fraternity Rules. Why? Because we are not belong to their world.

If they said Fraternity. Your family should be involve. Hindi 'yung sinabi mo lang na frat ka kasi nakikibasag ulo ka sa lahat.

Nope. They really have a strict rule in their world that only a family or heir of the fraternity world only knew that there is such thing as Fraternity Rules exist.

"I wish one of their rules can help him to save her."

REAPER L'S POV

My brother is frustrating. Kanina pa siya ikot ng ikot sa opisina ko.

"Would you please calm down? Nakaka stress kang lalaki ka. Umupo ka nga." Nakaka wrickles din 'tong kapatid ko eh.

He didn't listen to me kaya I grab the nearest thing na nakapa ng kamay ko at ayuuuun! Sapol sa braso niya.

"Witch! What's your problem?" I even heard him say 'Ang sakit nun kaya'. Ewan ko but I really find it amusing when he talks in Tagalog.

He barely used that.

"Nakakahilo ka kasi! Ano ba 'yang tumatakbo sa utak mo? Tell it to us ng madamayan ka namin dyan sa kakalakad mo." Nakakatanda talaga siya.

Kasama niya sina Clark at Jarred na nakatingin din sa kanya.

"Ate." Sabay tingin niya sakin.

Sa wakas! Natapos din siya sa kakalakad niya.

"Ano ba kasi 'yun? At nagmumukha ka diyang sira? Oh well. Siraulo ka na pala talaga."

He just rolled his eyes on me. "I'm serious here."

"Me too. Sasabihin mo ba o hindi? You're wasting the time."

"Eh nakikipagtalo ka sakin eh!"

"Bilisan mo na nga!"

He close his eyes for a moment na para bang nagtitimpi na huwag sumabog. Subukan niya lang at sasabog din ako.

"About the first ruler." He said calmly.

Anong kinalaman nun?

"What about them?"

"I know the first ruler has been in this f*ckin position like mine before. Isa lang ang tanong ko Ate."

Napangiti na lang ako. It's been a long time since he called me Ate. Tandang tanda ko pa ang huling araw na tinawag niya 'kong Ate.

"Hexter. How did you know about the first ruler?" It is a truly anonymous.

Yung mata niya biglang naningkit. He lean closer to my table.

"Don't play dumb Ate. You were there. We were there that time. I know you heard it too. At alam ko na mas naintindihan mo 'yun kasi mas matanda ka sakin."

How can I forget that past? Because of that someone need to sacrifice.

"I think our father has the right to know Hex. Why don't you try asking him?"

Agad siyang napatayo at tiningnan ako ng masama. "No way. I still won't forget the day he turned his back on me. And I won't forget that past."

That's why until now you can't trust our father?

HEXTER'S POV

Bakit ba naisip ng kapatid 'kong 'yun na lalapit ako sa sarili naming ama? Jesus. For what? To turn his back on me again?

"It's not that bad Hex. Just go and try." Kit said to me and hand the cup of coffee I asked.

Were in the twins room at hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin sila nagigising. Kahit isa man lang sa kanila.

The doctor said that it's normal and we only wait.

"Go and try? Never Kit. I will never do that again. That old man. He was the first to turn and I'll do the same too."

I heard them sighed.

"Probably he has his reason." Sabat naman ni Jarred.

"What's reason? Na dahil Heather didn't come in a frat member that's why hinayaan niya na lang? I only asked for justice that time. Bakit hindi niya ko tinulungan?"

Because once again that Heather is only an adopted child?

"We know the answer Hex. YOU know the answer very well. Think it before you end it. Lovely need you the most." Kit.

"Wag mo nang pairalin ang katigasan mo." He added.

"Fuck with our rules. Bakit kasi ginawa yun in the first place?" We can live without rules!

"Rules. It is made to make the country or a union be at peace." Jarred answered with a low voice.

May naalala naman ako bigla.

"Samantha and Heather is the same. They both come in an ordinary family. So tell me how could that old man help me?"

Kung si Heather nga na pinalaki na mismo ng Frat Family ay pinatay pa din. How more Samantha? She didn't even have an inch of Frat Family blood.

What am I supposed to do now?

"I have a plan Kit. And I need your help guys. I badly need it."

HEXTER FATHER'S POV

My daughter called me minute ago telling me to help Hexter and his men. It's about that Lovely again. My son's girl.

Nilingon ko naman ang kausap ko.

"Yung inaanak mo ang tigas talaga ng ulo."

"Hahaha. Manang mana sayo."

"Shut up Vernon." Do you remember him? Detective V.

Balik upo ako sa swivel chair. I pull out the picture frame inside my drawer. I trace it using my hand.

"When are you going to tell him the truth?" He asked.

A picture of mine together with my agent. My agent that I live for almost a decade. A trust worthy agent of mine.

"Kelan mo sasabihin sa anak-anakan ko na Heather didn't come from an ordinary family?"

"I don't know Vernon. Hindi ko alam. Baka kamuhian niya ko kapag nagkataon." Not now. Kinaumuhian niya na ko baka sa susunod he will never wish to be my son.

"But you were only protecting him!"

"I know. I know. Pero hindi niya 'yun alam." Hindi niya alam why I'm doing this to him.

"That's why you have to tell it to him. Before it's too late. Just let it out. Magalit man siya o hindi atleast you let him know the reason behind of what happened two years ago."

Exactly. What happened two years ago.

"Tell him that Heather is not an outsider. Tell him that Heather is –"

"Came from a Frat Family. That Heather is my daughter agent. That Heather has the blood of Fraternity."
