Chapter Thirty-Eight

'Have you got everything?' Kenzie asked me.

'No, but it's everything I need' I replied and picked up Sky.

'Where are you going?' Sky asked me and rubbed her eyes.

It was 3am. We needed to leave quickly but could only leave once Wilmer and Demi were asleep.

'I'm going to have a sleep over with Kenzie and we thought you might want to come' I said excitedly

'Did mommy say I can?' She asked.

It hurt me when she refuted to Demi as 'mommy'. A month ago I was her mummy.. A month ago she was my daughter. A month ago everything was perfect.

Then Wilmer came and ruined it all.

'Yes baby, your mommy said you can come' Kenzie said and picked up the bag I had packed for Sky.

'Can I say bye bye to mommy and daddy?'

'We can call them when we get to Kenzie's house' I said and quietly shut the front door.

Kenzie's aunt was already out the front which was helpful. We'd already waisted five minuted getting Sky out the door and we weren't exactly quiet.

'Text Demi' Kenzie said.

Sorry for waking you but Kenzie and me got into a fight. Can you come get me?

'Sent' I said with a smile.

'Now we wait..'
