15: ice sculptures

Jennie's POV

I thought awhile about what i wanted to make. Then an idea struck me so i started to carve into my ice block excitedly. I stole a glance at Lisa and saw that she was still contemplating on what to do. Then i focused back on my work, i will be making a monkey ice sculpture hahaha! What a genius Jennie Kim.

10 minutes later....

I finally finished carving out the outline. Looks good! It really resembles Lisa haha i can't wait to see the end product! Lisa was working diligently on her own ice block and i couldn't make out yet what she was trying to do. I'll just concentrate on my own, time is running out.

35 minutes later....

I brushed off the specks of ice from my sculpture. It was already taking shape and im adding in the details to it.

"You have 10 minutes left!" Miyeon announced.

I paused to look at my work. The monkey was really cute. Or maybe because it just reminds me of Lisa. Aish... i love that idiot too much.

Suddenly i got another idea. I picked up the tools again and began to carefully carve into the ice monkey's body: Nini's silly monkey. And i signed my initials below it.

K.J.R.J. (Kim Jennie Ruby Jane)

I grinned. Even if i forgot i made this today, i will definitely recognize my initials which only my parents and Jisoo know about. Maybe Lisa too? But i don't remember if i told her about it.

"Aaaaand time's up! Put down your tools please." Miyeon squeaked.

I looked over to see Lisa and was astonished at what i saw. She did all of that in 45 minutes?!?

Lisa had beautifully carved out two women kissing under what seems like a stand with a bell dangling from it. How is it even possible to do that? I was starting to think that she was secretly a part-time professional ice sculptor.

"Yah what the Lisa? I thought it was your first time trying out stuff like that." I said to her in surprise.

"Yes it is. Why? Does it look good?" Lisa said raising her eyebrow then smirking cockily.

"Pfft. My monkey is definitely cuter." I said proudly, showing her the monkey that i carved out.

"Is that.. is that supposed to be me?" Lisa asked with wide eyes pretending to look offended.

"Yah! It is you. You're a monkey. And this ice sculpture even looks better than you." I remarked.

Lisa just chuckled.

Miyeon was observing us in silence probably amused with our childish behaviour. I beckoned her to come towards us.

"Yes how can i help you?" She asked.

"I need you to help choose between our ice sculptures, and tell us which one you think is nicer." I said to her.

Miyeon glanced at Lisa then back at me. Then she smiled and observed our designs individually. After twirling around and bending forward to scrutinize our work for 3 minutes, she said, "Okay i have my answer. Do you want me to reveal it out loud?"

I saw Lisa nod her head anxiously and i giggled softly.

"The nicer design is......... this one." Miyeon said pointing to Lisa's ice sculpture.

Ofcourse. It would be weird if she actually picked my monkey over the intricate design that Lisa made.

"YEEEEEESSSS!!" Lisa shouted in triumph, standing up from her stool abruptly with both her hands raised in the air.
