I had locked myself in my room for five hours now. I looked at the time and it was 8:30pm. I was listening to some rebel songs about break out and doing what feels good. I wasn't going to do any of that but I just needed something to fuel my anger. I was listening to Ricki- Lee, 'Burn it down'. I had my earphones plugged in and I didn't want to hear anything but music. Ashley and Karen had knocked on my door several times for dinner but I blasted the music louder to drown them out.

I looked out the window and I saw a blue Ford drive up slowly in front of Luke's house and stop. I saw Ben get out of the car and help guide a very woozy Luke into the house. I don't know why but I want to get out of this house and get some fresh air. I just want to get away from all of this drama that just happened not so long ago.

I changed into a black- purple hoodie and black skinny jeans. I tied up my black dark martins and tied my hair into a messy bun. I wore my glasses and I placed 20 pounds in my pocket. I jumped over the window ledge with my upper body half over. I struggled to turn around and I did. I sat on the window ledge. I already locked my door and turned the music loud. So that my family would think I was still in my angry phase. I jumped down with my feet first and felt the painful shock in my feet. I had to walk it off but before I did, I had placed my hoodie over my head and walked onto the left side of the house.

I walked normally and had my hands in my pockets. I saw Ben walk out and I ran up to him and hugged him from behind. He started screaming.

"Ben, calm down it's me" I laugh

"Why would you do that" he had a hand over his heart.

"I thought it would be funny I scared you. Sorry"

"Okay but what are you doing here?" he asked as he got into the car and I got in as well

"I just wanted some fresh air and hang out with my favourite buddy" I punched his arm and he raised an eyebrow

"Why can't you hang out with your friends"

"You were there. You saw what happened"

"A bunch of girls fighting over your diary" he shrugged

"You wouldn't understand" I pulled my knees to my chin

"Hit me" and I smack him

"I meant as in TELL me and we'll see if I can relate" he rubbed his arm

"Sorry. I was annoyed that my diary got lost and then I took it out on my family" I didn't tell Ben the complete truth because I feel like it's something I should keep to myself

"That's it" he asked in a disbelieving tone

"Yep" I popped the p

"Now let's hit the road" I hollered

"Oh so you understand that figure of speech" Ben grumbled

"Duh. I understood what 'hit me' meant. I just thought it would be funny to see how'd you react to me hitting you. I am the editor of the English Department. Just saying" Ben mocked me.

He turned on the radio and started to reverse. He drove up to his house and I sunk into the my chair until he started driving down his road.

"Looks like you're at home" he smiled

"I had to do something"

"Wow, miss I-can't-do-anything-wrong is leaving her house without her parent's permission" I tried to control my tongue from saying that they weren't my parents.

"Just face the road" I ordered

"Alright. I'm taking you to the place that always calms me down"
