Monday 25th of August

It was the middle of study period and I was trying to find a book for my English report when Luke walked up beside me. I pretended I hadn’t seen him. I was avoiding him right now and I was hoping that you know who doesn’t catch me.

You know who is Leah.

Earlier this morning………..

I was in ancient history class and we had been given our assignments…Mrs Fitzgerald was going through what we have learnt so far and had quickly added some notes and summaries.

She gave us the outline of our assignment: 1000-1500 words must include 5 bits of myths and religion, an oral that goes for 5 minutes and at least 10 sources. My teacher was going through what an E standard assignment and all the way up. She was in the middle of what an A standard assignment was when someone knocked on the door.

Mrs Fitzgerald went to the door and Leah walked in. Apparently Principle Drinkwater wanted to see me. I was excused from class and walked outside.

The two of us we walking up the stairs and none of us said anything. Leah made it extremely impossible. She had the facial expression of I’m-not-in-the-mood-right-now-and-if you-talk-to-me-you’re-dead. There was also silence except the sound of her high heels clicking across the ground.

We were on the fourth level and I was walking forward until I didn’t hear anything. I turn around and Leah had stopped walking and was staring at me.

“Leah, the office is upstairs” I remind her

“I know” but the way Leah said was creepy. She had folded her arms and walked closer to me.

“Principle Drinkwater doesn’t want to see me, does she?” I realize

“Good Girl. Gosh, you’re so smart” she said in a fake happy tone

“What do you want?” I ask cutting straight to the chase

“More like what do you have?” she said

“Sorry?” I say

“How was your weekend” she asks casually

“It was normal, didn’t do much”

“Didn’t do much? I think you and I both know you did lots of things” she said creepily

“Like what” It was my turn to fold my arms

“I don’t know….walking, eating, having fun…..with my boyfriend” she says hard

“You have a boyfriend. Congratulations. I never knew and could you please elaborate because I don’t know who or what you’re talking about” I wondered

“Luke” she pursed her lips

“You mean Luke Daniels….Precious’s boyfriend” I emphasise on the boyfriend

“He’s also mine” she whispers and walks closer

“No…I think you’re getting ahead of yourself. It’s your friend’s boyfriend. Precious remember. Leah are you ok?” I ask

“I’m fine but I’m not ok with the fact that you went to the Rose Garden Café with him”

“Not me” I shake my head

“Sabotaging my birthday party and inviting everyone during my diner date with him” she walks closer

“Leah I would never do a thing like that”

“And for kissing him” she says loudly and I flinch. I’ve never heard her yell and her brown eyes were set hard on me.

“What proof do you have?” I ask her
