Chapter 61

(A/N: Did you guys miss me? Of course you didn't ;) I am back with a new chapter, I'm not going to lie, this took me most evenings of this week to do, just because I am running out of ideas, so I have decided to make Chapter 62 the final chapter, I may, or may not decide to do a little bonus chapter, but that depends on you guys, if you want a bonus chapter.. and if you are interested in a sequel (which by the way would take place 6 years later, I have a few potential ideas for a sequel) I am happy to start a sequel some time next year maybe, it won't be the case of post it as I type it, I'd most likely do the same with how I did this one, have 20-30 chapters already done before I start posting.. but for this one, Chapter 62 will be the final chapter and then it'll depend on you guys if you wanna see a bonus chapter and maybe a sequel (which would include a lot of exciting things for Addison and Stefan) just let me know in the comments! And lastly, Merry Christmas, Christmas is my favourite time of year, you're not working (depending on your job) you're not schooling, you're with your family opening presents, eating whatever you like and Christmas dinner, having a laugh and spreading the love, what can be better than that? "Dad, you can say no, that's why we're asking, we don't wanna do this if you're not ready" I say as I watch him think.

"Perhaps we shouldn't have asked" Stefan says feeling guilty.

"No, it's ok, it's just, I was going to wait and surprise you both but now, you've kinda beaten me to it" Dad says. Stefan and I look at each other confused, what?

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I've been looking at selling this place and moving into another house" He confesses.

"Wait, what?" I question in disbelief.

"I didn't want to say anything until I had found a new place and put this one on the market" He says.

"Dad, I don't understand, we've lived in this house since, I dunno, before I was born, why would you want to sell it?" I ask.

"Because as much as it has some amazing memories, you're first words, steps, even your Mother's pregnancy with you, and everything, it has bad memories too, including that she died here" He explains.

"I still don't understand" I say.

"It's been nearly 2 years since her death, every time I walk into that kitchen all I see is her lifeless body laying on the floor, it's time to move on, which means leaving this place and starting again, don't get me wrong, I will always love your Mother to bits, but we need a new start, you are engaged and happy, I need to do this for me now" He explains more.

"So err, where do you plan on going?" Stefan asks as I sit there stunned.

"Well, when I took you back to yours yesterday, I had a look around the area and came to like it, I also saw a few properties for sale, I had a feeling that Addison would want to move in with you, you have a nice house, and you're both settling down together, and I am happy with that, but I don't wanna be so far away from her, she's my only child, besides, you live closer to Sam as well so we can see more of each other, I just think this is better, leave this place behind and start a new chapter" Dad answers.

"So that means you are happy for Addi to move in with me?" Stefan questions.

"Of course I am, I want her happy and she's happy with you" Dad says. He looks over to me, I haven't said a word, I'm still processing this. "Are you ok with this sweetheart?" He asks. Time to speak.
