Chapter 48

Addison's POV

I watch as the police car that Stefan is in drives away. We watch each other the entire time until we can't see each other anymore.

"Addison come on, I'm taking you home" Dad says and tries to touch my arm but I yank it back from him.

"No Dad, just leave me alone!" I scream in tears.

"Addison, I'm taking you back home, he won't see you anymore, you don't have to worry" He says.

"Worry? You think I'm worried, you think I don't want to see him anymore? We love each other, he's not a bad guy, the only thing I'm worried about is never seeing him again!" I argue.

"Addison Taylor, we're going to need you to come down to the station to be interviewed" A female officer says as she approaches us.

"I'll take her there, just give us a minute please" Dad says. I walk away from them and start heading into the school dorms. "Addison" Dad calls but I ignore him. I hear him running after me.

"I'm going to my room, get the rest of my stuff, I think it's obvious that I'm not a student here anymore" I say as we go in.

"Addison?" I hear my name called. I look and see it's Jake and the others.

"Not the time guys" Dad says.

"Dad, let me talk to them, they're my friends" I say.

"Is it all true?" Alice asks.

"I'm sorry I lied to you guys, I've been in a relationship with Stefan" I admit to them.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Jake asks.

"Because it's an illegal relationship" Dad answers for me.

"Dad, just go to my room, I'll be there in a minute" I say and give him my key, he just looks at me. "I'm not going anywhere am I, where am I gonna go?" I ask him.

"Fine, but be a minute" He says and walks away.

"I'm sorry guys, for not telling you the truth" I say feeling bad.

"All that time that we were joking to you about it, and you were actually sleeping with him?" Elliott questions.

"Not sleeping, not a sexual relationship" I tell them.

"Did you kiss him?" Alice asks.

"Yeah, our relationship is-was, pretty much like you and Jakes, together and everything, but no sex" I answer.

"How long has it been?" Jake asks.

"A year" I tell them, much to their surprise.

"You've been seeing him for a year and you managed to keep it secret for this long?" Jake questions.

"Why didn't you just tell us? We would have kept quiet" Alice questions.

"Because I couldn't risk it, he was our teacher, we tried to not be together, but I guess you can't help who you fall in love with, I didn't want him to lose his job, but now it's all a mess" I explain. "But what happened yesterday and today, he didn't kidnap me like everyone is saying, I made us go, he's the one that decided we had to come back, he pretty much felt bad for my Dad, had I of had my way, I would still be with him" I add.

"Listen, we don't hate you for not telling us, we understand why you didn't, we're just confused by everything" Finnick says,

"I know, and like I said, I'm sorry, but it looks like you guys may not be seeing me for a while, Dad is taking me home and I don't think Mrs Raven would want me as a student anymore, but I'll keep in contact with you all for sure" I say.
