(ORIGINALLY POSTED 29 APRIL '18)

It's been a few weeks now, my ribs are just about healed now, I've still got bruising but they don't hurt anymore which is good. Stefan and I are still on good terms, still having the Maths sessions, he said I don't need the sessions anymore but because I feel like I do, I still am. Dad and I see each other on the weekends, he wasn't pleased on that Friday when he picked me up, about my condition. Here's a little flash back.

FLASHBACK

I've just finished school and I'm packing my things to go home, I don't know how Dad is going to react when he sees my arm and ribs injury.

KNOCK KNOCK

I take it easy and go answer the door.

"Hey sweetheart, how's school been?" He asks as we hug.

"It's been good" I say, we let go and I try my best not to wince in pain, but he notices my arm straight away.

"What's happened to your arm?" He asks concerned.

"Earlier in the week I had an accident, I woke up late and fell down some stairs, I remember waking up in hospital-" He interrupts me.

"You were unconscious?!" He asks.

"Yeah, I had a mild concussion, I have a broken arm and cracked ribs, but I'm fine" I explain and assure him.

"Why didn't you or anyone contact me?" He asks.

"I didn't wanna worry you, I was fine, the hospital did a good job and Mr Colt was there for me like you asked him" I say.

"Why didn't he call me?" He asks.

"He did offer to but I said not to" I explain.

"I would have been up here straight away, I'd have taken you home and cared for you" He says.

"That's why I said not to call you, I wanna prove I can be independent and I wanted to stay here, I was off for one day and back the next, I didn't wanna go home, I'm fine" I assure him. He just looks displeased with me.

"Well I'm not happy that I wasn't informed about this when it happened, I might have to complain to the school" He says.

"I told everyone not to contact you Dad" I say.

"I'm still not happy, but as long as you're ok and you've said you are, so lets go home" He says, I go to grab my bag. "I have the bag, you just go to the car" He says. He really isn't happy so I do as I'm told.

END OF FLASHBACK

Yeah, Dad wasn't happy at all, the whole weekend we just relaxed and did as little as possible. He did try to tell me I wasn't going back to school until my ribs were healed but I wouldn't have it, I pointed out that I had been at school most of the week and was fine with it so I wanted to go back, so he reluctantly took me shopping and then back to school.

Now some weeks later, like I said, my ribs are nearly back to normal, my arm is now in a support bandage and not a cast, the doctor said after 2 or 3 weeks when I feel my arm is ok I can just take it off but if I have any problems to go to the hospital, I've been fine so far.

The only thing I'm not fine with at the moment is my rooms heating has packed up, so I'm cold in the room and having to wrap up like an Eskimo to keep warm, I think the caretaker is supposed to be fixing it at some point. Fortunately most of the things in my room are electric, even the shower, so I can still have hot meals and shower when I need to, just the heating isn't working, as although we are just going into Spring from Winter, I'm still cold.
