Chapter 17

I woke up that morning to my alarm, Stefan was gone but he did text me that I looked cute when he left me.

That was 2 nearly 3 weeks ago, and we are still together, still spending as much time as possible together, we really enjoy each others company, and it's not always kissing and sleeping in the same bed either, I mean we have Maths sessions which are the same as what they were before we got together, and we are a couple as well, just not all over each other all the time.

I am sitting in PE now, and we've been partnered up in pairs, chosen by the teacher, we're doing exercises so that's why we're put in pairs. I've been played with a boy I've never spoken to, his name is Ashley, he seems pretty cool actually.

"So, you're like, kind of new to the school right?" He asks as he holds my feet down as I do sit ups.

"Yeah, been here since the new year term" I say.

"Yeah I've seen you around, I'm just too shy to say hi" He says.

"How long have you been here for?" I ask curious.

"Since my mum got a job transfer when I was 10, we moved here and I've been here with my younger sister since, she was 8 at the time, her name is Gemma, but she likes Gem" He says. He seems really nice, and caring.

"So you two have been here for about 6 years then" I say.

"Yep, but sometimes it feels like longer because we share our room so we can argue a lot" He says.

"I bet" I say, I still kinda wish I had a sibling but I don't think I'd enjoy the arguing.

"What about you? Any siblings?" He asks.

"No, I'm an only child" I say.

"Oh, and how come you are at school here?" He asks.

"Guys change over" The teacher instructs so we change, I'm holding his feet while he does sit ups.

"My dad works a lot so he's put me in school here, I used to be home-schooled" I say.

"Oh fair enough, he's gotta work to provide" He says.

"Exactly, but sometimes I do hate it cause I don't get a whole lot of attention, that's how caught up with work he can get" I say.

"What about your mum?" He asks. I'm getting used to that question now.

"She's no longer with us unfortunately, she used to home-school me, that's why I'm here" I say.

"Oh, I'm so sorry" He says.

"It's ok, it's been tough but I have had loads of support which I'm grateful for" I say as my mind goes to Stefan, he really has been such a support, he's my shoulder to cry on and everything.

"Yeah I see you hanging out with those guys and the girl" He says.

"Are you stalking me now?" I ask sarcastically.

"No, course not, I'm just too shy to say hi" He says with a laugh.

"You shouldn't be shy, I'm friends with anyone really, Jake, Ali and Eli are great friends too" I say.

"What about being more than friends with anyone?" He asks. What? I am with Stefan.

"Jacob and Alice are together, and Elliott is great, but we're more like best friends, like brother and sister, I haven't really looked for a relationship with anyone" I say, gotta remember not to mention Stefan.

"How about a date, it's not a relationship" He suggests. Is he asking me out on a date?

"Um, I'm not sure" I say. What about Stefan?
