It's the end of the week again, Friday, and it's a casual wear day, we can wear what we want, so I'm some navy baggy jeans and a white t-shirt and navy hoodie, with trainers. The most comfortable I have felt all week, dressing up smart can get quite annoying.

I'm in Maths right now and I'm happy to say that I'm understanding the work now that Mr Colt has taught me and helped me catch up. My necklace keeps catching in my hair, last night Alice decided to style my hair and since then my necklace has been getting caught, it's getting annoying now, and it hurts to sort it out, I'm just going to take it off now, I unclip it and put it on the desk, hopefully I won't forget it.

"So guys, and girls, you know what you've gotta do, I'm here if you need any help, crack on" He says and claps his hands, he goes and sits at his desk, he looks over to me and nods, so I nod back and smile, he smiles back and then puts his attention to his computer, I notice every second he looks around the class, he must be taking the register before he forgets to, they have to have them done by a certain time otherwise someone comes in and tells them off for not doing it yet. I put my attention on to the work set, at least I understand what I am doing now. I get on with the work and before I know it, the bell rings, I pack my pens away and get going to my next class.

Mr Colts POV

I watch as the classroom empties, I see Addi leave, she's doing very well with her Maths now, she may not need these after school sessions for much longer, I seem to have made a good friendship with her, she's a smart, talented, kind girl, been through a lot, it must have been hard finding her mum like that when she died, I wish I could be there more for her but I shouldn't really, but she's a nice girl, I like her, I don't know why, but to me, she is different from the others, maybe because she's been home-schooled or I've got a bond with her over the Maths sessions that I haven't got with any other student, I've never had after-school sessions with another student, usually I just help them correct their work, I've never walked a student back to their room, but I have with her, I don't know why I did that, other than that she kept getting lost on the grounds.

I get up and go around the room collecting in the work sheets, I get to the desk that Addi was sat on, her sheet is completed, but that's not all that she's left on the desk, her necklace, her mothers necklace, I watched her take it off after it got caught in her hair, she's obviously forgotten to grab it. I pick it up and put it in my pocket, somewhere safe, I'll return it when I see her next, or if I don't see her then I'll go to her room before her dad gets here, the last thing she needs is to lose one of the only things of her mums she has left. The classroom starts filling up with students for the next lesson, these students are a bit younger than the last lot.

Throughout the day I keep on the lookout for Addison, I half expect her to come back to the classroom for the necklace but she doesn't, maybe she didn't realise she left it. But I still need to return it to her. At the end of the lesson I stay back to mark some work, after a while I decide to call it a day, I should get this necklace back to Addi before she leaves, I turn off the computer and clear the whiteboard of my pens, I grab my bag and put it over my shoulder, I check that the necklace is still in my pocket which it is.

"Knock knock" I hear from the door as it is also knocked on, I look over, it's Mrs Hall-Plug, great.

"Oh, hello" I say trying to be polite and genuinely surprised to see her here.
