(A/N: Hope you're enjoying this still! I just wanted to quickly add that I've started posting a NEW story, it's called 9 Years Later, it's different to this story, not a teacher/student one, but it's still a romance, I've been working on it for months, all of this years at least, please feel free to check it out, if you don't like it then fair enough. Let me know what you think? There are only 3 chapters up so far but let's more to come as always! Thanks guys!!)
I wake up to my alarm as usual. I had such an uncomfortable night of pain. I take it easy to get out of bed and I walk over to my mirror and lift up my top to see I have the biggest bruise ever across the side of my ribs and stomach. Oh god, no wonder it's so painful.
I have a shower and get dressed, which isn't easy with the pain, Frankie and Luke got me good. I can't believe he hit me too, I mean girl on girl is normal I guess, but he had the guts to kick and punch me too.
Once I'm ready, I go and eat some breakfast and get my bag ready. I leave my room, I wonder if Jake is in, or even ready.
Knock Knock
"Oh, hey Addi" He greets as he opens the door, thank god he is fully clothed.
"Morning, just thought I'd knock and see if you wanted to walk together?" I ask.
"Err, yeah sure, let me just get my shoes on and my bag, give me a minute" He says and leaves the doorway, with the door open and me standing outside.
I grunt as another pain shoots through my body and I clutch onto my side, I take a breath and wait for the pain to subside.
"Ok I'm with you" I hear Jake as he approaches the door. I quickly compose myself so he doesn't suspect anything. "You should have come in" He points out.
"It's ok, you were only a second" I say as he shuts his door.
"You ok?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm fine" I answer rather quickly. "You?" I ask with a weak smile.
"Yeah I'm good, I'm glad the drama from the summer has finished now and I've got Ali back" He says as we walk towards the school building. So am I.
"Same, I'm glad you managed to sort things out eventually" I say. He opens a door for me and I smile at him to say thanks.
"Can I tell you something, without sounding weird?" He asks a little nervously.
"Yeah course, tell me anything" I say. How can he sound weird to me?
"I didn't think I'd say this to anyone, but I feel like you and I are- I see you as a sister to me" He says. Oh, wow!
"Oh, that's sweet of you to say that, you are my best friend Jake, I agree, you're like a brother to me, although being an only child means I don't really know how the relationship works" I point out.
"Same, but we can work it out together, although I don't think there's much to work out, like you said, we're best friends" He says.
"Exactly, I just realised, how come we haven't knocked for Cupid or Eli?" I ask as I realise.
"Ali takes hours to get ready, and Eli is probably with Finn" He answers. Good point.
"Fair enough" I say as another pain shoots through me causing me to accidentally grunt again.
"Are you ok?" Jake questions me.
"Yeah I'm fine, why do you keep asking me that?" I answer quickly.
"Well it's just that you sounded like you were in pain" He says looking slightly puzzled.
"No I'm fine, totally fine" I assure him, trying to be convincing.
