Chapter 18; Sorrow

Changbin POV.

As I came back from my room, with fresh clothes on, Jisung greeted me with a steaming mug of hot chocolate in his hand. "I didn't found any tea, so hot chocolate should do too, right ?" I smiled a little bit, took the mug from Jisung and we both went to the still sleeping boy on the couch. He looks so peaceful right now, how could he tried to kill himself. My eyes were bound to Felixs face, his freckles did even shine more because of his pale skin now. "What did you even do at this hour in the park ? You told me that you saw him there and saved him." I stopped admiring the beautiful freckles that were displayed on Felixs cheeks and faced Jisung while taking a sip from my hot chocolate. I can't tell him that I dealed with drugs again. So I lied "I couldn't sleep, like always. So I wanted to drive through the city to calm down a bit. But then I walked through the park and saw a figure in a wheelchair and the rest of the story, you already know." Jisung looked at me skeptical but nodded. I placed my mug on the coffee table and put a blanket over my shoulders "I will put his clothes into the dryer, you can just chill and calm down from the shock, I can see how much the incident got to you." I nodded and cuddled myself even more into the blanket.

After Jisung came back, he sat on the armchair right on the opposite from me and folded his hands and rested his elbows on his knees, while looking me dead serious in the eyes.  "Did.." He started to speak but stopped himself to sigh. "Did you gave Felix any drugs?" I was shocked at his accusation. "What?! I- I would never give him any drugs, never ! Why would you think like that !" Jisung snorted and went away. I got after him. "Where are you going ?" He turns around and holds the jacket, that I gave Felix back at the river, up to me.  Jisung is furiously looking through the pockets and now I know what he is getting at. He throws the small packages right infront of my feet and is looking back up to me. "And now tell me, why would I think about you giving Felix drugs. Just think. It isn't like you dealt with drugs before and now magically I found some, in Felixs jacket-" I quickly cut him off "That is my jacket, I- I tried to warm him up with-" I tried to explain and pointed at the jacket. Jisung looked disappointed at me. "You just told me 2 weeks before that you quit with all this illegal shit and now I found some in your jacket!" He furiously waved with his arms around. "Were you at the park to deal with drugs again! You told me that you quit. God damn Changbin do you want to go to jail and this time for real? Now tell-" A loud gasp with a coughing fit right after, caught our attention. Felix woke up.

When we both reached the living room, we could see Felix writhing and bending under pain. But he couldn't get enough oxygen in his lungs like that.I knew that he often feels suffocated since the accident, because of his wound on his chest. So I did the same, like what I did back at the hospital. I quickly went to his side and raised his torso, so he can get more oxygen in his lungs. Jisung just stood there and didn't know what to do. "You can bring him some water, Jisung." the latter nodded and went away. 

After a while, Felix calmed down his breathing I brought the glass with some water to his dry lips, while tilting his head back a bit. He is still weak. But what can you expect from a highly reserved human who was unconscious. Jisung wiped the water from the younger lips. "W-where am I? I-I should be dead." Felix whispered with a broken voice. Jisung embraced him and slowly tears fell down his round cheeks. "You're at my apartment and well yeah probably you would be dead now, If I didn't saved you out of the cold water." I said sadly and tried to hold the tears back, because pictures of his pale, lifeless body flashed infront of my eyes. He went quiet and let Jisung hug him. "Why would you try to kill yourself Lix?" I asked calmly. He didn't said anything, slowly tears streamed down his face and he hugged Jisung back. "Does- Does Chan know about, you know.. my attempted...-" The younger was even scared to say it out loud, that he attempted suicide. Jisung shook his head and raised his head up to look into the tearful eyes from Felix "Why did you even do that! Did you wanted me to tell Chan, that his precious brother, his everything, died. He would be so broken, hell he would jump from a bridge than." 

"I think we should let Felix sleep and we should go to sleep as well Jisung. You can sleep in my room, I will sleep with Felix here, so If he needs something I will hear him. I'm still his minder don't forget that" I looked at Felixs expression and he was okey with it, I couldn't see some discomfort in his face. Jisung ruffled Felixs hair and wiped his tears away. "Goodnight." When the door to Changbins room, made the noise that it closed, Felix looked at Changbin. "Why did you saved me Binni" He whispered in a low tone and it broke my heart into small pieces. "It's just humanly to save someone who is right infront of your eyes dying." But for you I would do everything to save you. He hummed "You were crying, back at the river, why?" My heartbeat sped up a bit, when his sorrowful eyes met mine, usually his eyes would sparkle with joy but today they looked, If all his joy and life got sucked out of him. "It's not common to see an important person to you, attempting suicide." He asked confused "Important? I'm not important to you, I'm just another patient." I raised my eyebrow "Who says that? You play a big role in my life actually and I'm so sorry that I didn't picked up the phone when you called me or responded at your text messages." Felix cuddled more into the blanket as if he wanted to protect himself "And I'm sorry-" I quickly cut him off "Stop being sorry, let's just sleep okey?" Felix nodded. "Goodnight sleeping beauty" I said with a wink, it got Felix to smile brightly at me and my heart made a jump. He looked so happy and alive again. Just for one moment I even forgot the heartbreaking incident back at the river.

I helped Felix to lay down comfortably and covert him properly with the blanket before I turned the lights off and the fire place as well. I laid down on the other side on the couch and soon fell asleep to the tune of Felixs steady breathing. It was a relieve to hear it, so I know that he is still alive, still here, with me.
