You had been back to your normal routine, training daily and had taken the task to scout around the area for Titans, should you find any you were ordered to kill them at once, meanwhile Sasha had completely turned into the twins babysitter... and boy, she loved the position. As for Levi... Erwin had been keeping a very close watch on him during your absence and so there were no incidents. The second thing that made you worry though had one major disadvantage but also a major advantage, your mother. As much as you hated the idea, Erwin wasn't as stern with her as he was with Levi. She was a childhood friend of his and he had held her dear for a very long time... the only person who kept her away from the twins was Sasha, whenever your mother came to see the twins Sasha would run off and hide somewhere. That was until you were given permission to spend two days with your daughters.
- But you didn't have to... these two are angels... they even shared their food with me. Sasha said and pointed at one plate half full with some smashed vegetables that you had placed along with two large bottles of milk that were now empty.
- Well, they ate quite a bit. It's all okay Sasha, I am their mother... it'd be unforgivable if I didn't spend time with them at all. Even my mother had her moments... I at least think she did. You said when in fact you knew that was a lie, this so called "moments" were the times when she'd remind you that she didn't raise a failure. Sasha nodded while Mikasa scoffed, clearly not buying any of this and you knew all too well that maybe Sasha didn't either but she might wanted to avoid possible conflicts. As the two of them got closer they each took a baby and began cooing and playing with them, however you sensed someone was here and decided to check things around, it was probably Levi. He had been staying away during the day but during the night you had spotted him once or twice around the area, that guy had to die or you would always live in fear of what he could do to you or the twins. You began wondering if you should already move to the next step, you knew that Levi splet only three hours due to some illness... so now you had to discover the hours he would spent asleep... it would be your only hope against him. Though you were both exprerienced in combat Levi had a slight advantage due to the fact that he was a male... also you could be kicked out should anyone witness his death in broad daylight. You took a deep breath and decided to face him, it'd be easier to avoid him and act as if he wasn't around but you knew it could lead to misunderstandings as well.
- (Name) where are you going? Mikasa asked.
- I need some fresh air... I feel so tired as of late. Could you please keep an eye on the twins? I don't want their father or grandmother to appear out of the blue. You said and they both nodded, with that said you left slowly and went outside, you sat down and looked at the sky noting how beautifull this night was, filled with stars that sparkled and with the moon looking down on the world. A cool breeze embraced you and you smiled satisfied at the sensation, suddenly you felt someone close by, you decided to play the idiot and act as if you had no idea someone was here. You leaned back and kept your gaze on the sky as you began humming a tune, you no longer smiled but it seemed to fit your usual image. Suddenly you felt a hand grab the back of your neck violently, it pulled you backwards and you fell on a strong chest, the scent gave Levi up instantly. You looked upwards blankly and met a pair of heated eyes, those eyes that had once pierced your icy armor and actually sparked something... that something was now here too but you could control it, conceal it, imprison it so that it would not change your decisions for the future.
- Well, well... seems like you don't really wish to spent all that much time with your daughters after all.
- I wouldn't talk if I were you.
- True... there are more pleasant things than talking. He admitted though he did not try anything.
- What do you want?
- You.
- Not going to happen in this life.
- Why?
- Because you've proved that you only care for your own satisfaction, not mine.
- Maybe I did... but does that mean I do not deserve a second chance?
- I gave you plenty of chances when I was locked away, did I not?
- One learns from their mistakes, I'm sure you can understand that.
- Don't expect that to make up for all that you did to me... and let's not forget the fact that you attempted to kill my daughters.
- Our daughters.
- That only makes it worse.
- I wouldn't have gone so far if you had simply told me... can't you see how much I am suffering? He asked, his heated gaze turned into a pained one, you escaped from his grasp and stood up, facing him with a calm look.
- I suffered too, I was in pain as well regardless of my emotionless state. And I was able to get over it on my own, if I could do you can as well.
- No, that's impossible.
- And why is that?
- Because you're the reason of my pain... the reason that I seek you out... is to cure this pain.
- This pain then is a delusion, I have done you no harm... yet.
- Or so you think.
- Do not try to make me pity your condition, you brought that on yourself Levi. The only thing I can promise you is that my blade will end your pain AND your life. You can be sure that I will be the one to deliver you to death. You told him and then left without looking back at him, his attempt was in vain... he would have you only as a corpse, otherwise you would have his displayed on the same way he displayed all those bullies when the two of you first met. That was final.
