chapter thirty eight

Annie's POV:

we arrived at the hospital and we waited to be called in.
"how are you feeling?" hayden asked, looking over towards me.
"i'm so excited but i'm nervous too," i reply with a smile.
"julianna leblanc?" i hear a lady say.
both Hayden and i stand up and follow the woman into the room.
"julianna, if you would like to lay on the bed over there," the nurse says.
i nod and walk over the the bed.
i carefully lay on it as the nurse starts setting up the ultrasound.
"are you hoping to find out the gender today?" she asks.
i look over at hayden who gives me a nod.
"yes," i reply with a smile.
"okay," she says as she begins spreading the gel on my stomach.
we watch the screen as we see our baby.
"it's kind of hard to see as it keeps moving around," the nurse says.
i let out a small giggle and continue to look at the screen.
"i see it," the nurse says.
"are you ready to find out?" she asks again.
"yes," i smile.
"congratulations on your baby girl!"
"oh my gosh, hayden it's a girl!" i turn to look at him with tears falling down my cheeks.
nothing could be happier than this moment.
"she's going to be as beautiful as you," he tells me, planting a kiss on my cheek.
i smile as the nurse gives me some paper towels to wipe the gel off my belly.
"she's very healthy too," the nurse adds.
"i'll see in in a few months time, good luck!"
hayden and i intertwine our fingers as we make our way out of the hospital.
"i'm so happy!" i giggle.
"i can tell," hayden laughs.
"wanna go to the mall?" he asks.
i nod as we get into the car and begin to drive.
