Annie's POV:
His thumb gently wiped my tears as he stared directly into my eyes. I couldn't help but to stare back.

"Thank you.." my mouth slowly opened and spoke it's best to ability.

The corners of his mouth curled up. He smiled a little and kissed my forehead.
"No problem."

We stayed in each other arms until his phone started ringing.
"I gotta take this.." he said, his hand was slowly picking up his phone and answering.
I nodded and watched him as he spoke.

- after the call -

He placed his phone down on the bedside table, his facial expression was emotionless.
"Are you okay? ..." I asked, resting my head against his chest.

"I will be," He replied, I felt his hand play with my hair.

"What was it?" I looked up at him and he looked down at me.

"It's nothing, I promise," he said.

"You sure?"

He just nodded and he pulled me close into a hug, just like how we were before we got interrupted.
