About a week or so later I was out on the soccer field when I was interrupted again. It had been about an hour and a half into my practice. I was kicking balls into the net when the back door to the school opened.

I looked up and saw Oikawa standing there, waving maniacally at me. "Miyumi-Chan!"

I let out a sigh as I shook my head and took the soccer ball out of the net, rolling it around under my foot.

"You look like your out of water there!" He called as he stepped outside, the door slamming behind him.

I walked over towards my bag to where my water bottle lay discarded lazily on the ground. "Yeah I guess so." I replied as I shook it for emphasis.

"Alright let's go!" He cheered loudly as he ran over to me, grabbing my arm tightly and dragging me behind him, back into the building.

"Oikawa!" He only smiled mischievously as we made our way to the water bubbler. He finally let go of me and I sent him a harsh glare. "You're ridiculous."

"And your stubborn."

"Your eccentric."

"Your feisty."

I let out a groan, deciding to give up and filled up my bottle.

"Where's your water bottle Oikawa?" I asked as I was almost done. I looked st him out of the corner of my eye and he rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably.

"I lost it."

"You didn't even bring it with you."

"Maybe."

I let out a groan as I screwed the cap back onto my bottle and walked around him. "I'm going back outside to continue practicing. Don't talk to me until your sane."

"But Miyumi-Chan!" He whined, throwing his arms around like crazy. I didn't turn around, I just kept walking, going back to practice. Suddenly I felt my hand in his.

"Come with me." He said with a smile. I looked at him quizzically and let out a sigh as I started to walk.

I turned, my hand still in his. "You coming or can I get back to practice?"

"I'm coming Miyumi-Chan!" He exclaimed as he stepped up beside me and we both walked down towards the gym where a bin of volleyballs lay. "Look!"

I looked at the gym and I raised an eyebrow at him. "I don't understand what I'm looking at."

His face fell and immediately he looked disappointed. "But Miyumi-Chan I wanted you to help me play!" He whined.

I let out a sigh. "Are you kidding me?" I asked as I turned to look him in the eye.

"Please." He begged, holding his hands tightly together, finally releasing me from his grip.

"No."

I heard yelling from above and I let out an annoyed groan. 'His stupid dangerous fangirls.'

"Why wouldn't you play with Oikawa-Chan?" The girls yelled, screaming and waving their arms.

I rolled my eyes. "Because I'm also a captain and I also have things I must be working on."
I countered. I turned, glaring at them before I turned and left to return to my solo practice.

The next day was the same thing and the next day after that. He continued for two weeks until finally he let up. Which thank god for that.

My practices resumed normally and I was actually able to focus without his high pitched voice ruining my concentration. And the stupid antics. I mean come on, they were ridiculous.

After the crazy shenanigans I only saw him in the hallways as we came and went. We said hello but I had nothing more to do with him and he had nothing more to do with me.

I guess the guy who couldn't give up finally understood that other than these small interactions I wanted nothing more to do with him.

It was over halfway through the summer when he showed up to the weight room again one night. He knocked on the door as I finished a set of pull ups. I lowered myself to the ground, grateful for the distraction.

The room seemed much hotter than usual and I was sweating like crazy. I sat on the floor and lay back against it. It was cold and felt nice against my hot skin.

"Can I help you?" I yelled out as I reached out and grabbed my towel, rubbing the sweat from my eyes.

"Yeah I thought you could use a break." He said with a smile. "Plus I just had to see my favorite late nighter!"

I rolled my eyes but I had to smile.

"Har de har har." I sat up slowly and looked over to my water bottle which was almost empty. "Wanna come with me to get some water?" I asked.

"I figured you'd need a break." Oikawa said with a smile. "Plus my Miyumi-Chan works herself too hard!" I rolled my eyes as I stood up, water bottle in hand.

"We good to go?" I asked as I walked towards him, throwing my towel over my shoulder.

His face lit up, eyes sparkling. "Of course!" He said, almost skipping out the weight room door.

I turned, narrowing my eyes down the hallway at the boy who was waving and calling at me. I turned the air conditioning on before I closed the door behind me.

Nothing crazy seemed to happen after that. We talked a little as we passed one another, small conversations but nothing more. He would stop by the weight room occasionally but that seemed to be all.

I found that at night I began to look for him, hoping he'd drop by for a visit. But then again, that would be crazy talk. So I just ignored the feeling and continued with my routine, putting Oikawa to the far region of my mind.
