Getting to know You (Oikawa Tooru )

Junko came to visit me at the end of my weight training. She seemed giddy, smiling as she came into the weight room that night with a slight pep in her step.

"Hiya." She greeted warmly.

"Hi." I said as I tilted my head as I looked at my best friend.

"What?"

"You look giddy." I said with a laugh as I sat down on the ground, cross cross applesauce on the floor. "Who'd you meet?"

"Im not giddy! I just walked in with Iwaizumi-San. He's really nice. That's all." She said with a small shrug.

I shook my head at her as I pushed myself up from the floor. "Keep dreaming sweetheart."
I joked as I stood up, grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder. "Ready to go?" She nodded.

"Let's get out of here before you work yourself to death." She said as she patted my shoulder. I rolled my eyes as we walked out of the weight room and past the gymnasium. I stopped, poking my head in to see that Oikawa was practicing.

"Wanna go in?" I asked.

Junko shrugged. "I'll only go in if you do."

I looked back through the door and saw Iwaizumi and Oikawa. Iwaizumi was talking to Oikawa about something.

I pushed the door open and stepped into the gym. "Hello Oikawa-San, Iwaizumi-San." The two stooped talking and turned around to face me. "I think I owe you a practice, just for s little while." I said as I faced Oikawa Tooru. The one person I would rather not be in a room with. Yet here I was, trying to make something up to him.

A grin spread across Oikawas face and his eyes lit up. "Really Miyumi-Chan? You mean it!"

"Yes I do. What do you need me to do?" I asked as I set my bag down beside the door. Junko stepped inside, closing the door gently behind her. She smiled at Iwaizumi who nodded back at her.

"I need someone to toss a ball up to me so I can set it."

I nodded. "Of course." I walked to the far side of the net and picked up a ball from the cart. "Tell me where you need me Captain." I said with a mock salute.

Oikawa eyes sparkled. "Did you hear that Iwa-Chan! She just called me captain!" He looked like a little kid on Christmas.

"Don't get ahead of yourself Trashykawa."

"Be careful I may just retract that statement."
I said with a small smile.

Oikawa smiled back.

The fan girls above us squealed. I looked up, confused as I placed the ball against my hip. "How do they know when to come here?"

"I think one of them watches the school and they all just follow when he shows up." Iwaizumi shrugged. "It doesn't always happen but I guess since they have nothing better to do."

"I guess so." I mumbled in return.

"Miyumi-Chan!" I turned to see Oikawa with steam ready to come out of his ears. "Pay attention to me not Iwa-Chan!"

I raised an eyebrow at him and shook my head. "Don't mind, let's just practice." I said as I threw the ball at him. He caught it and held it against his chest before lightly tossing it back.

"Yeah." He said quietly.

I helped out for awhile, the fangirls all the while cheering until Iwaizumi told them blatantly to 'get lost'.

They weren't too happy about it but they listened anyway.

We practiced only for a little while longer before Junko packed up and we left the two boys in the gym.

"Don't stay too much longer, you don't want to tire yourselves out." I said with a small smile.

"Get some rest." Iwaizumi said with a nod.

"Bye Miyumi-Chan! I'll miss you!" Oikawa said with an excited wave. Iwaizumi turned, slapping him off the back of the head.

"Calm down shittykawa."

I smiled, waving one last time before I walked out of the gym behind Junko and began to head home.

"I think you and Oikawa would be a cute couple." She finally piped in when we were far enough away from them.

"Like that would ever happen." She laughed, shaking her head.

"I'm just saying that if anything were to happen, you two would be cute."

"I appreciate the thought." I said as I rolled my eyes. "No thank you."

"I know I know. Don't worry about it." She said with a shrug. "Just thought I'd say it."

"Just like how you and Iwaizumi would be cute?"

"Now that is a completely different subject." She said seriously.

"Oh yeah? You sure?"

"Oh shut up Miyumi!"

"No you shut up Junko!" I said kiddingly back. She nudged me with her elbow and I mudged her back. We continued as we walked until we both started to laugh.

"School starts soon." Junko said a little later, after we calmed down, with a sigh. "We're almost done." She said, almost as if she was trying to convince herself.

"Yeah." I said with a sigh of relief. "Almost there."

'Almost away from all of this drama.'
