My third week at Shiritorizawa finally began. My grades were continuing to do well and people began to talk to me as they learned who I was. School began a fun part of my day where I could actually enjoy myself.

Magazine articles had come out this morning questioning my transfer and betrayal of my old team at Aoba Joshai. But I didn't feel that way anymore. That wasn't a team. It was me feeling the need to carry everyone else to succeed. No one else had stood up to our old coach like I did. No one else had been benched for my opinions like I was. No one truly defended me. Even though I didn't let them they still let me get ridiculed by that woman.

That wasn't a team. I was looked up to like a queen in her court, not a leader that was still equal to everyone else around her.

It wasn't always like that. My first year of high school wasn't like that. But the captains for my second year didn't like when first years got all the attention and so a hierarchy was made. Captain at the top. That's not where I belonged.

I just wish I had come here long before now and experienced this.

The day went by smoothly, other than the front pocket of my bag vibrating nonstop.

When lunchtime came around I ripped the device from my bag and looked at the screen. 'How does he not have his phone taken away?'

I opened my messages and of course all of them were from the brunette setter.

'He's really pushing to start off fresh isn't he?'

Message after message filled my screen about how he thought class was boring and how he'd rather be playing volleyball or that I would answer him so we could talk.

I rolled my eyes as I scrolled through, finally sending a quick message to him.

Miyumi
We can talk when I'm heading home from practice if you want

Oikawa
Yes please Miyumi-Chan!!!!! ^_^

I closed my phone and threw it back into the front of my bag as a smile spread across my face, knowing full well that that boy was going to be the death of me if I liked it or not.

I rubbed my towel against the back of my neck as I sat down on a bench in the locker-room. My team was bustling about as I hunched foreword. I let out a long breath as I reached around and wiped my face.

"Long day?"

I looked up to a small smile on the dark eyed girls face. I nodded as she sat down beside me.

"I'll I've wanted to do all week is sleep but the work keeps on coming."

"It will calm down again. Just give it a few more days." Akane said as she set her schoolbag at her feet. "Are we still strategizing tonight or would you like to wait another night?"

"We still need to do it. We have to start preparing for Aoba Joshai and the sooner the better."

"They have really picked up since you left."

I nodded. "That is because the few people who opposed her were removed and people who were scared fell into line." Akane nodded as I sat up straighter, leaning backwards slightly and stretching my back.

"Let's grab Chiya. The quicker we do this, the quicker you can get things done and go to bed." I nodded as she stood up, taking her bag with her. "Finish getting ready and we will meet you outside."

I nodded, standing up slowly from my position as she walked away. I hopped into the small shower, washed with a quick but thorough exfoliating soap scrub and then changed into my comfy clothes.

I threw my hair back, drying it with my towel when my phone began loudly rang. I dropped my hand to my side as I walked towards the bench.

A large smile spread across my face as I reached down and picked up my phone, answering it immediately.

"Couldn't wait until I was actually walking home, could you?"

"Miyumi-Chan!"

My smile somehow grew wider as I chuckled. "Yes Oikawa. Did you pick a random number and just dial?"

I heard him chuckle on the other end of the phone. "I missed your remarks."

"Smart ass remarks are my speciality." I replied. "I'm going to put you on speaker, I have to finish getting ready to go home."

"Okay, whatever you need to do Miyumi!" I clicked the speaker button and set the phone down onto the bench. "How was practice?"

"It was good, had a good workout and we did well running our drills today." I said as I patted the towel gently against my hair. "How was yours today?"

"Same old same old. Nothing fun to talk about!"

"Tooru." He stopped blabbing on the other end of the phone. "What happened?"

He laughed nervously, I could picture him scratching the back of his neck nervously. "Well, nothing too bad."

"Tooru." I stopped drying my hair, my voice low and annoyed. "What happened?" There was no answer. "Don't make me call Iwaizumi."

"Alright. My knee may or may not have collapsed."

"What have I told you a million times!" I exclaimed.

"I know, I'm sorry!"

"Then take care of yourself you ass! If you get hurt then you can't play. You know that. You're so obsessed with winning and if you get hurt then you can't win and you can't finish off the year with Iwaizumi." He was silent as I hung the towel up in my locker. "You need to take care of yourself Oikawa."

"I know. I'll do better."

"Thank you Oikawa."

The two of us were silent for a moment. The air between us still. Then he broke it. The tension ceasing and I chuckled as he said "Now tell me something fun you did today."

And as we talked, I didn't realize that my team stood behind me. They gushed about the two of us and passed bets between them about how long it would be before we got together.

"Okay Miyumi stop acting in love and let's go talk strategy!" Chiya yelled. I turned to see Akane smacking her on the back of the head.

"I guess I have no choice but to let you go." He said with a laugh. "Call me later?"

"Okay I will." I said with a smile. "Goodbye."

"Goodbye Miyumi." He said, I could hear a smile in his voice. I hung up the phone and turned to my teammates, all of them gushing.

"Cut me some slack!"

A bunch of them let out 'oooohs' and I picked up my bag and walked past them. Some of them telling me how in love I was.

I felt my face go red as I grabbed my two fellow captains and marched out of the school. The two of them not easing my embarrassment.
