The next morning, we woke up bright and early and headed to the courts at the same time as Iwaizumi. Obviously he took the team bus and we didn't but that didn't change the fact that we all left at the same time. Iwaizumi made his way to the courts and Junko joined me in my endeavor of getting my aggression out.

We traveled to Shiratorizawa and joined my team for our rescheduled morning practice. When we were finished I showered joined Junko and told the team I hoped to see them at the game. After that, it didn't take long for us to make it to the tournament. Teams had to be there so much earlier to make sure all of them were accounted for, last-minute strategy, and warm-ups so we were still a little bit early.

Junko and I made our way to the same seats we had occupied the day before with the two gentlemen that had filled us in on everything. We talked for a few moments about the match and then a lull fell over us as we waited for the match to start.

I looked over at Shiritorizawa and skipped down the front row closer to their court. Ushijima was so in the zone that he didn't notice the crowds around him. I cupped my hands around my mouth, feeling my nerves and backbone go out the window but I couldn't back down now, not with all these eyes on me.  I took a deep breath and yelled "Good luck Wakatoshi!" He landed from his spike, a small smile tugging at his lips as he nodded, turning back to continue his own warm-up.

I skipped back across the first row to see the men I had been talking to and Junko all with their mouths open.

"You told me you talked to him, not that you were on a first-name basis!" She exclaimed as she grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

"He told me to use Wakatoshi only a few days ago. Said we were equals and that I shouldn't use his last name or something like that." I looked back to the two men who still looked completely taken aback. I saw Junko motion something to the men and the two gave us some space.

"Oi! Slothkawa! Get your ass back in motion."

My gaze immediately looked down at the court in front of me and saw Oikawa Tooru standing there glaring daggers into Ushijima Wakatoshi's skull. If looks could kill the poor guy would be dead and buried faster than you can say milk bread.

"I know you're hurting but don't stoop to the level you're going to. I can see the satisfaction in your eyes and I don't like it." I turned to look at Junko and I couldn't say a word. She wasn't wrong.

Last night's questions and thoughts had filled my dreams. I was lucky I slept as much as I did considering.

'Who was that girl to him?'

That was the one that seemed to haunt me the most since it brought up so many other questions. I knew that girl was the one who put the snake in my bag, the one who made my last days at Aoba Joshai awful. But how did she know Oikawa? Were they just friends or were they more? Had he been playing me like his competition the whole time? Did he do this because he was still mad at me for leaving?

That day in the stands, was he just using her for intel on me?

But that doesn't make sense. He was looking at me and asking if I was okay. He wanted to know I was okay but was it an act?

I knew so many of them were most likely not true but my anxiety-filled these thoughts in my head, making me ready for action and ready to throw back the pain I felt so he could feel the same.

As I looked down at the court my heart ached. I wanted to trust him. I did more than anything, even now.

"I'm sorry, I hope you'll let me explain." Those words echoed in my head.

If he wanted to explain than I must be misunderstanding things right? I wanted to believe that. I did.

But then there was the claim. Where any guy wouldn't go near me because of him. I knew I should be more upset about that but what he said before sounded so sincere. It seemed like normal high school, where everyone misunderstands something, starts a rumor, and goes with it.
