Friday came quickly after that and Jay took me home with her and Jordan, who was in a sour mood. Tess and Paige were squeezed into the backseat with me, since Jordan refused to sit with them. Since we were planning on staying the night, we each had a bag with some extra clothes in the trunk.

The music on the radio was a popular radio station that played bands I actually knew, like Twenty One Pilots.

Paige was in her own world, looking for a new hair color and Tess looked like she was reading, ignoring Jordan complaining that he was going to be stuck in his room, alone, all night.

"Not my problem," Jay said and I saw her smirking in the mirror.

Seeing the twins' house, I realized it was the first time I'd ever seen it. It looked pretty small from the front, with two floors and a small, white porch with just enough room for a rocking chair on one side and a swing on the other.

We piled out and Jordan left us behind, Jay leading us to to drop our bags in her room. The dark gray walls were covered in band posters and none of them were hung straight. The black curtains were pulled so that light was coming in, but I knew from how thick they looked, that they could block out all of it. Her bed sat in the middle of the room, her closet closer to the outer wall and she had a few black and pink beanbag chairs on the other side of the bed. Her desk was across from the bed with an open laptop and a ton of makeup surrounding it.

After we dropped our bags and slipped our shoes off, we went back downstairs to get some drinks and chips.

"I think we'll all fit on the bed, but I don't know where you'll put your drinks," Jay told us, Paige sitting down in a beanbag chair. "Okay then."

We all sat and began munching on our chips.

"So what's the plan?" Tess asked.

"Chill. I was thinking truth or dare later," Jay said. "Have you ever played?" she asked me.

"Once. It was short."

She didn't say anything for a moment, but then Paige spoke up. "If you're one of those people who only picks one all the time, I'm gonna be super pissed." Crumbs were falling on her shirt and I heard Tess chuckle.

"Yeah, we like to mix it up," Jay said.

"Okay," I said, since I didn't know what else to say.

"So, who's got stories?" Jay asked, glancing between all of us. She was in the beanbag closest to her bed, so she was leaning back on it and playing with the edge of a blanket that was hanging off. "This is a thing we do, by the way," she then started to explain to me. "We just share what's been going on recently that we haven't had time to talk about before. If nobody wants to go first, I have something. It's sorta just a guess about why I think Jordan was so pissy today."

"Yeah, he's not normally like that," Tess said quietly.

Jay nodded. "I think he has a little crush but doesn't wanna admit it."

"On who?" Paige asked with a scoff.

Jay's eyes went from Paige, to me, then to Tess, and back to me.

"Oh, my God," Tess said. "He was never like this before you started hanging out with us." Her eyes were wide as she turned her gaze to me.

"What are you gonna do?" Paige prodded, as if I knew. "Ask him out? He's been single for a while after what happened, but I can see it."

"What—No I'm not asking him out! I-I don't even know if I..." I trailed off, not wanting to share that I didn't know if I was even into guys or girls.

"You don't know if you like him?" Jay asked.

"He's cool, I guess, but I... I've actually never dated anyone. Like ever."

"I think this calls for truth or dare," Tess announced. "Rosie, truth or dare?"

I froze like a deer in headlights, then replied, "Truth," making a mental note to go with dare next time.

"If Jordan asked you out, would you say yes?"

"Jordan doesn't have the balls," Jay argued. "But, if he did."

"I-I... No?" I said

"I heard that question mark," Paige said. "Would you or wouldn't you?"

I shrugged. "I mean, as of right now, no. But maybe if we got to know each other more, I'd consider it."

"I'm good with that answer," Tess said. She quickly explained how they passed the questions around. Since she asked me first, she would then ask Jay and Paige, and then it would go to me, since I was the first one she picked. If the first person had already gone, it would go to whoever hadn't gone yet. "So, Paige, truth or dare?"

"Dare," she said, leaning forward and taking a sip of her Pepsi.

"Okay... I dare you to give me your phone. Unlocked."

I saw Paige's hesitation as she grabbed the device and entered her code, both of them leaning as far as they could so Tess could take it. She tapped furiously, but barely made a sound. I was used to Demi's and Maia's longer nails tapping the glass.

"What are you doing?" Paige asked. I could see her nerves.

Tess didn't answer until she was done, showing me text messages between Paige and who I assumed was her boyfriend. Tess must have gone into the camera roll and found an old picture of Paige, hair a dirty blonde, completely natural, and headgear on. She looked like she was in middle school, clutching a few books to her chest and grinning happily. Tess showed Jay who snorted with laughter, covering her mouth, and then Paige reached out and grabbed it.

She had a small smile on her face, but then she saw who it had been sent to. "I fucking hate you. Watch your back."

Tess gave her her most innocent smile then asked Jay.

"Uh, I'll go with truth."

Tess grinned. "Oh, okay. Just remember you asked for it. Would you be jealous if Rosie did go out with Jordan?"

Instantly, I saw a slight blush go to Jay's cheeks. "Why would I be jealous?"

I felt my own body temperature rising as Tess told her to not dodge questions.

"Fine, fine... Maybe a little." She couldn't even look in my direction.

My turn came next, which was pretty uneventful.

Paige went next, Tess confidently picking dare, and Paige told us to wait while she left the room.

She came back almost ten minutes later, shocked at how quiet we were. She had a glass in one hand, filled about halfway with what appeared to be some sort of smoothie. She handed it to Tess, who grimaced. "I have to drink this?"

Paige rolled her eyes. "You've done worse."

Tess tentatively sniffed the drink, gagging, then downed it in two gulps. She gagged and finished the rest of her soda. "You fucker!"

Paige shrugged, then moved on. "Jay, truth or dare?"

"I'm scared, but dare."

"Kiss Rosie."

I was leaned forward, my hand under my chin so my mouth didn't drop open, but Jay's eyes widened, staring at me. "Um..." She started to get up and close the two foot gap between us. "Do-Do I have consent to do this?" she stuttered.

I just nodded, wanting to say it was just for the game, but my mouth was too dry.

She was on her knees so she was on my level, coming closer. My eyes were closing, lips parting slightly. At the exact moment I expected her lips to touch mine, a phone rang, and I felt a gust of air as Jay jerked back.
