Chapter 15: The cruel reality

Whooosh!

Miss fifty silver ride the wave away. I was so focused on pooping that I didn't realize she was trying to escape using the river! Dang... we might've been able to take advantage of this situation to escape if I realized what's happening a bit sooner.

Was that water magic? That looks so cool!

Okay, maybe not that cool. She just create a wave around her. The only reason it looks so cool was because Miss Fifty Silver was the one who used it. Her beauty makes even walking normally looks elegant.

And of course, there's no way the Bear would stand losing such a beautiful slave without doing anything.

"CHASE HER!!!" The Bear ordered the barking dog.

"Zooom!"

The barking dog sprint after her along the riverbank. It's barking never cease. Within seconds the dog too is out of my sight. It doesn't look like she can outrun that dog. But can the dog get to her in the river? It's scary realizing that I know nothing of this world.

"Bring her back!" Bear said to two men who's already unfastening the straps from the front carriage's horses and mounted.

"Lead the way!" Bear shouted at the other dog. The dog ran after it's buddy. It look back, probably making sure the two horseman is following it.

After the two chasers were out of his sight, Bear sat over the fire and start grilling his lunch. The others continued doing their own task, butchering the carcass and cooking lunch as if nothing wrong ever happen. Does Bear not care if she escape, or he's just that confident with those two dogs and men?

"Are you done yet?" One of our guards ask cautiously, seeing that we are just squatting there watching. He seems to be very wary of us. Or afraid even.

"No... "

We shuffle over to the edge of water and dipped our hand into the river.

"Cold..." Emi complained.

I finished cleaning our butt, put on our pants and make our way back towards the guards slowly.

"Not gonna take a bath?"

"It's too cold..." Both of us answered in unison right away.

"Then come. Get back inside the carriage." He said with a slight frown on his face. He look rather disturbed with us talking simultaneously.We obeyed and walk towards the middle carriage, to our exclusive confinement chamber.

I would have take a bath, and make any excuse to stay outside longer to look for a chance to escape, if not for how calm and unfazed they are with Miss fifty silver's escape. Our kidnappers panicked when they saw a bunch of small kids escaping even when they have that gigantic dog with them. But this group of people don't even bat an eye... Their calmness terrifies me. For now, I'll just wait and see.

"Burp... They're taking too long to capture a fucking woman." Bear grumbled while picking his teeth.

The other slaves has already been herded back into their carriage and the men has finished eating.

"Clean up, we're gonna get moving. They're ahead of us anyway." Bear instructed.

They bring the leftovers to us and the other slaves and load up the rest of the raw meat onto the carriage.

"We are ready to move, Master." Someone said that from the front carriage.

Wait a minute... Didn't the two men chasing after Miss fifty silver took the front carriage's horses? They are ready? How in hell are the front carriage going to be moved without a single horse?
