ch 22.5 : Unknown magic

What was that magic? My hands and legs is still shaking from the intense pain inflicted by the twinhead's magic. But apart from that, there's no physical effect that I can see. Was it an illusion magic? Or perhaps hypnotism? Or mental attack? It all happened too fast that I have no idea at all what it was.

I can't tell what kind of rare magic they've awakened. But I'll deal with that later. Since they had just awakened, it should take about a week before they recover their mana and be able use their magic again.

Master doesn't seem to be affected, or even realize what they did. They only hit me with that magic.

The twinhead carry the fainted little servant girl in their arms like a rag doll. But they're shorter than the servant girl. So her legs is still touching the floor. Tsk tsk tsk... That's not how you should carry a person.

"Let me carry her." An reach out his hand, offering to help. He slowly close the distance between them.

"Go away!" The usually shy right head shouted defensively at him. I can tell that she's panicking.

"Thud!"

Suddenly An fell backwards on his butt. He sat there confused while the twinhead ran past him and went upstair, half carrying, half dragging the servant girl. Wait, did the twinhead just used their magic again? What? How?

Since awakening happen when you have enough magic energy to cast the magic, your first magic will exhaust most of the magic energy in your body. So, it should be impossible for them to use magic again. Did he actually slip and fall down on his own?

"Hey, are you okay?" I use my magic and lift him up.

"I'm fine. I just got a bad headache just now. Ow.. Actually, no. I'm gonna go lay down a bit." An retreat to his room.

How? How did they manage to use their magic twice in such a short time? Unless they have awakened their power for a while now... But they're only five...

"Kanan. What do you think?" Master Petir suddenly open his mouth.

"Seems like they have went through magic awakening."

"I can see that... I mean, what kind of magic was that? For a mere five years old kids to be able to knock down an adult man... "

"My best guess is that it's a mental type magic. I'm afraid they might've been able to use magic for a while now but we've never noticed."

"Oh... What make you say that? I for once think they had just awakened it seeing how surprised they look."

"The truth is, they attacked me with it before they attack An. My body become numb from the pain and headache that I almost lost my balance. And right now I still feel a bit fatigued."

"I see.." Master is still deep in thought.

"How would you like to handle this, Master?"

"I still have something to settle. So I'll leave it to you. But first, go make sure that servant girl is alive. She might prove to be useful." Master ordered.

"She's fine..." I dismissed Master's unnecessary worry.

"Now!" Master rise his voice sternly.

He's mad! Don't go venting your anger on me! Sigh, I'd like to go to the dining hall and continue with my meal. Instead, I, a great mage, have to check on the well being of a mere child slave.

I went upstairs to their room. Alright, lets finish this quickly.

I don't have the key to their room. In fact, I don't have any key, not even to my own room. I don't need those small piece of metal. After all, I have my magic. The door can be unlocked by simply turning the knob that's at the inside of the room.
