Castiel grips a picture of you tightly. Staring at the picture for around five minutes, taking in everything about you. You had left the Winchesters a month ago and Cas couldn't stop thinking about you.
When you left the Winchesters you left behind your angelic boyfriend too.
You couldn't take it anymore, you were a danger to the Winchesters and anyone affiliated with them.
You were like a neon sign for angels and demons. Advertising your own head on a platter. You were being hunted down by both sides. You went into hiding so that you could protect those around you by leaving them behind and moving on.
He had to see you again. He couldn't let one of the most important things in his life just leave him. He needed to get you back. It had to happen, no exceptions.
You missed the boys, especially Castiel. As much as you wanted to return to them, you could not. You couldn't leave your safe house and walk out into the open where you could get killed. But you also couldn't continue living like this either. You couldn't hide forever.
Today was the day. Castiel was going to get you back into his needy arms. He was going to bring you back to the Winchesters where they would protect you. Where Castiel would protect you and not let anything get to you.
"Y/N." You jump and grab your angel blade with an iron grip. You slowly turn around to be met with a blue-eyed angel standing mere inches from you. "Come back, I miss you." Castiel decided he'd be straightforward with this, no more waiting.
"I can't."
"Why not."
"Jesus Christ Cas, I'm being hunted!"
"I'll protect you."
You huff in frustration. Cas just wouldn't give up on you. He will not leave without you.
"I still care about you Y/N." Cas confesses, reaching his hand up to your face, caressing your cheek. You drop your blade in surprise and give him a pained expression.
"Cas..." "No more waiting. I need you back and I can't function right without you." Cas grabs your hand tightly. "Please."
You look into his blue eyes and melt. You missed him so much. Your heart broke in two when you left him.
Castiel sees tears in your eyes and chooses to take the opportunity to embrace you in a tight and protective hug.
You feel safe in Castiel's strong arms.
"I missed you Cas." You feel Cas let go of you and grab your face with both hands and smash his lips to yours.
Now he knew you were back. And it was going to stay that way as long as he was by your side.
