*Klaus' POV*

I wish we had torn that turban right off 'Coach Genghis'. I wish we were able to expose the horrible tattoo on his ankle. At least... Sooner. "Duncan!" Violet called as we chased the car down the street. "Isadora!" I called to the beautiful girl who was kidnapped by the repugnant man and his bullshit theater troupe. I immediately crushed hard on the intelligent, funny, creative beauty that smiled at me on the first day at this horrible school. As my legs were about to give up on me, a bright yellow taxi appeared at the school entrance, blocking Olaf's only escape. I carried on at the thought of being reunited with the two triplets. I could tell it was the same with Violet because Duncan and her couldn't keep their eyes off eachother those first eleven days at Prufrock Prep. I struggled to pull Isadora out of the car and Violet did the same as a man, the waiter who seemed to follow us, and Mr. Poe's secretary confronted Olaf, dragging him out of the car and aiming spyglasses at him.

"Thank you so much, Kl-Baudelaires," Isadora managed to breath out. I shook my head, "Celebrate when you're half-done; and the finish won't be twice as fun." I recited before we started running in the direction of the school. Violet quickly scooped up out baby sister as we ran to the most public place we could think of... The auditorium! They were all still bound to be glued to their seats out of shock. We knew a public place would be preferable to private one because it would be harder for them to kidnap all of us. As we entered the auditorium, everybody was basically frozen from the insanity of the situation -except for Carmelita of course. "Hey cakesniffers! Only cakesniffers look out windows!" We had rushed to a large window which gave a clear view of the authorities taking Olaf and his troupe away to jail. I felt this was as right of a time as ever to make my move, so I slowly intertwined my fingers with Izzie's. I felt her jump, although she didn't let go. When I looked over at her, she was pink from blushing and a small smile graced the lips that held my favorite smile on earth. I looked at out siblings. Sunny was eagerly awaiting the horrid people to be driven away as she sat on the thick windowsill. Violet was resting her head on Duncan's shoulder and his arms were wrapped around her waist, which made me feel... uncomfortable one might say.

*Violet's POV*

As the five of us watched Olaf and his troupe get arrested for a number of different crimes, I felt it was a happy ending to this saga we were waiting for. I knew Duncan liked me back; it was quite obvious; but his reaction to me resting my head on his shoulder was a little straightforward... Welcomed, but straightforward... I felt his arms around my waist and I felt a little uncomfortable... Like .01% uncomfortable and 99.99% safe, secure, and loved. I can't really say that he loved me at that specific time, but it added to the specialness of the moment to think so. I noticed Klaus glance over at us and he looked slightly disguised. I smirked at him when I noticed that him and Isadora holding hands.

"Aw! The cakesniffing orphans are in love! BLECH!"
" Qwuiop! " Sunny called back.
"Sunny Willow Baudelaire!" Klaus and I exclaimed, "You can't go around calling people that!"
" But is. Isn't? " she asked, meaning something along the lines of "But she is. Isn't she?"
" What did she call her? " Isadora asked us.
"We're still getting used to the way your sister speaks, I'm afraid." Duncan added.

Klaus and I reluctantly whispered the answer in their ears, making them gasp. "But is. Isn't?" Duncan joked, mirroring Sunny's words. I held back my laugh as Carmelita glared at us before turning around sharply and storming out of the and as Mr. Poe entered the room coughing. "Ah! Baudelaires. Quagmires. Yes you five must come with me." He greeted.

"Why do we need to go with you?" I asked him.

"Why do we need to go with you?" A high pitched voice mimicked me, "Because you three orphans and you two twins are expelled!" We all looked at eachother, not caring enough to correct him on his mistake. "Why have we been expelled?" Isadora interrogated. Vice Principal Nero rolled his eyes at her, making Klaus' eyes darken slightly. "Because you're the ones who just got the best gym teacher in the world arrested." He explained.

"But that was clearly Count Olaf in disguise. You saw the tattoo and the one eyebrow. Right Mr. Poe?" Klaus retorted. Mr. Poe gave him a sideways look. "Klaus, I'm sure that even you know that anyone can have a tattoo of an eye and one eyebrow, even if it did happen to end up being Count Olaf." Duncan had pulled his arms away from me and was trying not to strangle the adults apparently. I patted his arm softly, which I could tell calmed him down a lot. "Where are we going instead?" I asked them quickly.

"Ah! Yes. My secretary Jacqueline suggested a school called Hinterland Academy. You will be staying there in a three bedroom dorm." I nodded, thanking him for the information as we followed him out to his car and liked inside. I sat in the front with Sunny in my lap. Duncan sat behind me next to the window, with Isadora in the middle and Klaus also taking a window seat. After a while, I looked back at them after Sunny had fallen asleep on my lap. Duncan was sleeping soundly and adorably and Klaus and Izzie were having a soft conversation. I soon dozed off as well.

*Klaus' POV*

"Um, Isadora? About earlier... I um apologize if I somehow m-made you uncomfortable when I... you know... Grabbed your hand." I stuttered quietly once I realized Duncan, Violet, and Sunny had fallen asleep and Mr. Poe never listened to a word we said anyway... Isadora looked at me with her beautiful green eyes with specks of gold, making me melt inside. "It's um. It's quite alright... actually. I kissed your cheek last night, if I remember correctly," she replied as her face turned bright red. It was honestly kind of hard to not lean over and kiss her, especially since we were in such close proximity to eachother. "I do seem to recall something of the sort happening," I answered, "Isadora?"

" Yes? "
"Was it supposed to be a friendly kiss or do you feel something between us that says more than friends?"
" I-I um. Oh Lord, you put me right on the spot. Ugh. Well, considering that you held my hand, I would ask you the same question. "

My face grew uncomfortably hot. "Well... I'm not sure how to word my answer... I can't say that I don't see you as more than a friend, but I um I wouldn't be able to tell when I would be ready to start anything serious. I guess what I'm trying to say is... I like you a lot, Isadora Quagmire. Like... A lot a lot." Isadora smiled warmly at me, "I like you a lot too, Klaus Baudelaire. Like... A lot a lot." She mirrored my words. I felt now was as good a time as ever. I set my hand on hers, which had somehow made it to my knee. Before I knew it, we were both leaning in closer as our lips met in a soft kiss. Her lips felt better on mine than I ever could have imagined... not that I ever tried to imagine it. It was my first kiss and I was glad it was with a girl that I liked a lot a lot.
