*Duncan's POV*
"Ugh! This is pointless!" Violet yelled in frustration.
"Violet, you'll be able to pass. We just have to find a way to make you understand the material," I assured her, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. She smiled weakly at me, holding my hand onto her cheek. Violet was nearly failing math because of this stupid algebra class. "You're only saying that because you're passing." She said, pouting.
" You're passing too. We just need to get a good grade on this test to bump up your C. "

She nodded softly and I opened my notebook back up. "Pythagorean Theorem." I asked her. She needed the formula memorized for this test. "A squared plus B squared equals C squared. I don't understand how that will always work." She stated.
" Trust me, Violet. It'll work. Midpoint Formula. "
"Um... X-one plus X-two divided by three, then Y-one plus Y-two divided by three."
" Divided by two, Vi. "

We continued studying until she had every bit crammed into her brain. I was sure she'd be able to pass. "Thank you so much, Duncan. I don't know what I'd do without you!" She said, clinging to me. I hugged her back, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. "I'm sure you'd find your way. I love you, Violet."
" I love you too, Dunc. Let's get some rest."

"Duncan!" Violet called to me. I was walking down the hallway and I turned around to see my girlfriend running at me with a sheet of paper in her hands. Violet quickly wrapped her arms around my neck and covered my cheek in kisses. "I take it you passed?" I chuckled. She nodded vigorously with a giant smile gracing her soft lips. A big grin spread across my face as she showed me the A- on her test. "Congratulations, Vi!" I exclaimed, "I told you that you could do it!"

" We did it! " she corrected, "Thank you so much for helping me study!"
