Your POV

As I was sleeping, I hear an alarm go off. Not an alarm clock though, the castle alarm, followed by the distressed voice of princess Allura, saying the castle ship's under attack. I quickly throw on my armor, and rush down to the ship's main controls, where Allura is. Shiro, Keith and I are the only ones there. Pidge rushes in, then Hunk. Finally Lance walks in, clearly half asleep. Shiro and I are the only ones ready, and in armor. Allura explains that this was a test, and that everyone, but Shiro and I failed.

We train a bit, and run some drills. We suck at forming Voltron. We just can't do it again.

Allura makes us train and practice quite a bit, then she calls us in for a "team-bonding" exercise.

We all sit in a circle, and concentrate on sharing our thoughts. Pidge can't seem to concentrate. She keeps thinking to that picture of her and Matt.

"Pidge, stop thinking of your girlfriend!" Keith complains.

She looks at me, red in the face.
"I wasn't! Hunk was messing around in my brain!"  She shouts
"Besides, t- that's not my g- girlfriend!"

"It's really not!" I blurt out, awkwardly.

"Oh! Are you?" Hunk asks.

"Wha- No!" I protest, I feel the heat rise in my cheeks.

I wish.

We train a bit more after taking a break.

Allura keeps yelling at us for not working together as a team. I'm trying! I'm just not good at working with others. But, I'll learn.

Coran eventually calls us to a meal. "Finally, I can relax." I think to myself.

I thought wrong.

I sit between Keith and Pidge at the table. As we're all about to start eating, Coran presses a button, and we're all handcuffed together. Everyone starts freaking out.
Coran explains that we'll have to work together, to eat.

"Well, looks like I'm not hungry anymore." I laugh, while the others complain. I'm not about to fight everyone, to eat. I'll just end up getting frustrated and screaming at everyone. I'll come back later, to eat.
It's not worth my time.

Everyone complains, then Keith and Allura start going back and forth. Keith yelling, Allura hating us more and more every second.

Coran scolds Keith, not to yell at the princess.

"Oh, the princess of what?!" Pidge sasses Coran.

I just slide back in my seat, my arms being jerked around everywhere, by the people I'm cuffed to. Every time Keith it Pidge moves their arm, mine is jerked with it. It's exhausting, and again, not worth my time to fight it.

Everyone starts a food fight, eventually. I'm hesitant at first, it's childish, and I don't want to get hit, but when Allura hits my face with food goo, it's on.

After it's over, we all share a laugh.
Then a hint of realization spreads over us all, as Allura congratulations us. We were working together after all.

We decide to give it one more shot. Forming Voltron. And... We actually accomplish it.

After hanging out a bit, the rest of the paladins get up and leave. Leaving only Pidge and I on the couch.

"Going to bed guys?" Shiro asks, on his way out of the room.

"In a minute," Pidge responds.

"Same." I smile.

He leaves and Pidge and I sit there a minute, petting Allura's 'space mice'.

Pidge pulls out the picture out of her and Matt. I slide closer to her, on the couch.

"You've been having trouble focusing today. You've been missing them, huh?" I ask, wrapping my arm around her.

"Yeah," She sighs.

"I know how you feel." I whisper, pulling her into a tight hug. "Remember what I said yesterday. We'll find them, I promise."

She hugs me back, I feel a few tears land on my shoulder.

"Want me to walk you to your room?" I ask.

"Yeah," She smiles. "I'd like that."

I walk her to her room, and hang out in there a while. We talk about things to get both of our minds off the situation. Inside jokes, movies, books, you name it. Eventually, I get tired.

"You should go get some rest," She smiles.

"You sure you're ok?" I ask.

"Yeah, of course." She sighs.

I head to my room, and get ready for bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow I'm out.

I wonder where Matt and Mr. Holt are.
