Keith's POV

So, this week's been... Eventful. Lance has been getting on my nerves so badly. I still love him, even though I don't want to. And, it pains me that no matter how much I'm mad at him, I can never hate him. I've tried.
He's just so... Him. Irritatingly unhateable.

We've had several searches for Shiro, none successful. I don't know what to do anymore! And without him, we can't form Voltron. Life's just falling apart. We've had a few parades to try and convince people to join us. It mostly consists of just showing off what we can do with what we have, and them everyone asking the dreaded question, "Where's Voltron?"

We don't HAVE Voltron. Because, we don't HAVE Shiro!

Allura's mad at me, because I've lashed out at a planet leader for asking about Voltron. But, now she wants me to see if the Black Lion will let me fly it.

I sit in the driver's seat of the black lion.

"Please no," I think. "Please don't choose me! Anyone but me! I can't, I can't do it."

"Shiro, I can't do it. I'm not a strong leader like you! What they said, I'm the loner, I cant-" I start to whisper.

The lion starts to turn on.

"Please no! Please!" I plead.

It doesn't listen.

Your POV
I stand outside the black lion, chatting with Pidge and Allura.

"I really thought it'd pick you." Pidge says.

"As did I, given your blood relation." Allura adds.

"Thanks and all guys, but I didn't expect it to pick me. So, I'm not disappointed it didn't." I lie.

I really did want it to pick me, and I thought with me being his sister I'd have a better chance. I was wrong. The lion didn't budge, but I'm fine.

"Don't feel bad, I couldn't even reach the pedals." Pidge laughs.

"Cause you're so short!" I laugh.

"Hey! Don't pick on my height." She giggles.

I pick on her height a lot, even though I'm only a few inches taller than her. It's kind of funny cause we're so similar in height, that I mess with her. I just do it to annoy her.

"So, what do we do if none of us are chosen?" I ask.

"I don't know, let's hope it doesn't come to that." Allura replies.

"Because if it's none of us, we'd have to search the entire galaxy! And that would take ages! The Galra would probably take over by then, and-" I start to ramble, but I'm interrupted.

The lion let's out a roar. Keith storms out of the Black Lion, and slams his helmet down.

"It chose me." He sighs.

"That's great!" I start, trying to sound comforting.

"No, it's not. I'll never be able to replace Shiro!" He says, irritated with the lion's decision.

"Keith, you're not replacing him! And the lion chose you for a reason! It's what Shiro would have wanted." I say, faking a smile.

"No! I'm tired of us talking about him like he's dead!" He lashes out, walking away.

Allura looks toward me, with a concerned look painted across her face.

"Uh, let's give him some time to cool down, he's been through a lot." I awkwardly say, in response to her look.

Oh God Shiro, where are you when I need you?
