*Days later*

"... Because I'm a girl." Pidge's words echo off the castle walls. No one was shocked, except Lance, cause he's an idiot.

That night, after she went to her room, you decided to go check on her.

You knock on her door. "Pidge?"

"Come in," She mumbles.

You open the door and step into her messy room, the first thing I notice is the small girl curled up in a ball on her bed, with her face buried in the pillow.

"Pidge?" I ask. "Pidge? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," She mumbles "Just overwhelmed." She mumbles through a few tears.

You walk over to her bed, and sit down beside her.

"Do you wanna... Talk about it?" You ask, softly.

She sighs, "I don't know, it's just... Now EVERYONE here knows who I really am, and... Dad and Matt are still gone... And it's up to us, to save the universe? We're just a couple of teenagers, and a 25 year old! I'm just stressed." She manages to mumble, through her tears.

You continue to rub her back, listening to everything she has to say.

"And I know I'm probably annoying you-" She starts.

"How are you annoying me?" You ask.

She speaks up, "Because this is the third time I've just cried for like, twenty minutes straight. While you've been so nice, and tried to comfort me."

"First of all," You start to say. "That first time doesn't count, cause I cried too. Second of all, you're not annoying! If anything I'm the annoying one. Third of all, I don't blame you for being upset! You lost your brother and father, and we don't know where they are. That's hard to face alone. I was upset for the longest time, up until we found him, when I thought Shiro was gone. You didn't just lose your brother, you lost your father too! That's hard!"

She sits up and hugs you, startling, but you hug back.

"Thank you." She mumbles softly into my shoulder.

"No need, that's what friends are for. Your my best friend. I love you." You say, before realizing.

'CRAP DID I JUST FRIEND-ZONE HER?' You think.

"It's getting late..." You say, anxious, you just made a huge mistake you can't take back.

"Wait, [Y/N]" She whispers.

"Yeah?" You respond.

"Do you wanna stay? You know, a sleepover, like we used to have sometimes when we were little." She asks.

"Of course," You smile. "Let me go grab my pillow, I'll be right back."

When you get to your room, you lock the door behind you.

"I hate myself so much right now." You mumble.
"Why did I do that?"

You throw on your pajamas, grab your pillow and blanket, then walk to Pidge's room. When you walk in, she's already laying down, reading.

You toss your pillow on to her bed.

"Move over!" You laugh.
You sit with her and talk for a while, before eventually calling it a night, and going to bed.

As your about to go to bed, you look into her brown eyes, and blush slightly.

Why am I like this? Why have I fallen head over heels for this girl who will probably never like me back? Do I even like her like that?
