Pidge's POV

I lay across my bed and press my face into my pillow. Why?! Why did I do that?! God, I'm an idiot! She probably doesn't like me like that!

*Knock*

I try to ignore the knocking at the door, but eventually I give in.

"Come in," I mumble.

"Pidge?" [Y/N] calls, sitting on the edge of my bed.

"Look, I'm sorry about earlier I didn't m-" I start, but am interrupted by her pressing her lips to mine. My heart beat picks up, and starts to race. It feels as if fireworks are going off in my head. I put my arm around her, and kiss back. She pulls her head back, and sits up.

"Shut up, I like you too." She laughs.

"Wait, really?!" I ask, shocked, and relieved.

"I thought you were the smart one." She jokes.

"Obviously not." I laugh.
I'm over the moon, happy. (Literally, and metaphorically.)

"So..." I mumble. "Do you want to be my-" I pause.

Keith bursts through the door.
"Guys! I need help!"

"Dang it Keith!" I yell. But then I notice the worried expression on his face.

"Wait," I look at him.

"What's going on?" [Y/N] asks.

"I-" Keith stutters. "I like Lance!" He yells.

"You sure?" She asks.

"Positive!" He says.

"Why him though?" She laughs. "Out of literally everyone in the Galaxy, Lance?"

"Can you just shut up and listen to me?" He yells.

"Ok, ok. Only joking." She laughs. "How'd you realise?"

He looks at us, and stutters a bit.
"I- Uh- I..."

"Keith, you're basically my brother... You can tell me." She says.

He looks at me, skeptical.

"Dude, since when have I been one to judge?" I ask.

"Ok..." He sighs. "I've kind of liked him since my last year at the Garrison... But... I don't know, I thought I just hated him for a while. But now, when he smiles... I know it sounds stupid, but I just realized I really like him." He mumbles.

"And why is that a bad thing?" I ask.

"Cause he likes Allura!" He says dramatically. "He's always hitting on her, and you can just tell he reallly likes her. Besides, he's not gay, he hits on literally every girl within sight. It's just pointless. But the feeling won't go away, and now I just can't even be around him without feeling awkward!"

"Keith, Lance and Allura are obviously not going anywhere. She hates hit guts for God's sake!" [Y/N] says.
"Like you... Like you told me. Tell him!" She mumbles.

Told her what?
Weird.

"It's not that easy I'm this case." He frowns. "I- I... I can't!"

[Y/N] pulls Keith into a hug.
"Keith, it's ok." She whispers. "The worst he could do is say no."

I join the hug, to comfort him. I know how he feels, up until ten minutes ago, I thought [Y/N] would never like me back, I was wrong, but it is an awful feeling.

"And- and today was really awkward!" He sighs.

"What happened today?" [Y/N] asks.

"So we were in the training room, and I wasn't really pay attention, and Hunk was throwing something, and it almost hit my head. And, Lance pushed me out of the way ." He says.

"How is that awkward?" [Y/N] asks.

He sighs, "When he pushed me, he fell on top of me. Our faces were really close. He laughed it off, but I got up and left really quickly."

"Oof." I mumble. "I'm sure he's not upset. You shouldn't stress yourself out over it." I say, remembering this morning.

"Thanks guys." He sighs.
He then gets up to walk away. "I'm going to get some food."

Keith's POV.

I'm walking down the hall, to the kitchen when I hear Lance's voice. I pause, I think about what [Y/N] said, and I contemplate talking to him... But then I hear what he's saying.

"Did you see that today?!" He laughs.
Hunk replies, but I'm only focusing on Lance's words.

Me?

"God, he's so awkward! Like bro, I tripped, and he just ran out the room!" Lance laughs.

What?

"Maybe he likes you?" Hunk notices. "He seems pretty nice."

"As if!" Lance yells, laughing hysterically. "Like I'd go out with that emo! He'd probably just cry all the time! Besides, I'm not gay!"

That's all I need to hear before I need to leave, I run to my room, lock the door, and lay across my bed.

Does he really think of me like that?
Does he actually hate me?
Is he really that mean?

I lay there a while, my face burried in my tear soaked blanket.

Of course. Because why would anything work out in my favor?
