Pidge's POV

"No!" I mumble to myself as I mute my microphone. A tear rolls down my cheek. The one person I love, that I can actually trust. I can't let her die on me.

What am I saying?
Do I like-like her?
Crap! I like her!

I run out of the ship to my lion as fast as I can, and climb in. Lance and Hunk follow behind. We get to the second ship, I run in as fast as I can to see a sight I never thought I would.

[Y/N] unconscious on the floor, with Keith and Shiro crouching beside her.

"I- Is she-" I start to ask.

"No." Keith mumbles, checking her pulse.

I approach her, and take her hand. I contact Allura through my helmet.
"Allura? This is Pidge. We're going to need the castle, and quickly! It's [Y/N], she's been stabbed, and is losing a lot of blood!"

"On our way!" She replies.

I carefully scoop her up into my arms, it's difficult, but I manage. I run to the exit of the ship, climb in to the green lion, and sit down in the driver's seat, with [Y/N] in my lap.

"Hold on. You'll be ok, I promise." I whisper to her, as I fly away from the ship.

I approach the castle. (Thank God. I don't know if I could stand seeing her like this any longer.)

The second my lion lands, I scoop
[Y/N] into my arms again, and run into the castle ship.

Allura's eyes widen at the sight of the bloodstained [Y/N].
"Get her to a healing pod! Quickly!"

I do as told. I get her into a healing pod, and sit in front of it, looking up at her.

She's safe now. I can stop worrying.
Why am I still worried?

I sit by the healing pod for the rest of the day. I don't want her to be alone when the pod let's her out. I want to be there. I sit there. Lost in thought.
Just this morning she was her happy normal self. Just last night we were hanging out, like we used to. It feels like forever ago. I feel like we're a billion worlds away from each other right now. Sitting here next to her almost lifeless body. I've never felt so alone.

*Flashback*
*Before Kerberos*

Sitting at my desk, bored, I hear a knock on my bedroom door.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Shiro and [Y/N] are coming over in half an hour, Dad told me to make sure your room is clean!" Matt yells.

I look around at my messy room. It legitimately looks like a bomb went off. Papers scattered everywhere, bed unmade, clothes on the floor.

"Uh... It's perfectly clean!" I lie.

"Ok then!" He calls. "It better be."

I immediately jump out of my chair and start cleaning immediately, motivated by excitement.

About thirty minutes later, there's another knock.

"Yes?" I ask, admiring my spotless room.

"It's me!" I hear [Y/N] call.

I open the door, and the second she walks into my room, I tackle her in a hug. I haven't seen her in a while.

We hang out in my room a while, talking, playing videogames, fun stuff.

"Guys! Dinner!" My dad calls.

We walk to the kitchen, laughing and talking the whole way. And sit at the table, along with Matt, my parents, and Shiro. After dinner Shiro says he has to go.

"Seriously?" [Y/N] asks

"Seriously." He laughs.

"We don't mind if [Y/N] stays the night. I know Katie was going to ask eventually." My mom offers. It's true, I was going to ask eventually.

"You don't mind?" He asks.

"Not at all!"

"Well, if she wants to I don't mind."

"Obviously." She laughs.

We go back to my room and wait until we don't hear anyone in the kitchen anymore.

"I've got to show you something!" I tell her, excitedly.

I grab her hand and lead her out my window, to where Matt and I always hangout on the roof. There's a telescope there, and some constellation maps.

"Woah!" She gasps. "Are you sure this is safe?"

"Of course," I laugh. "I'm out here all the time!"

"I heard the stars are supposed to be more visible than usual tonight." She smiles.

"And that, my friend, would be why we're here." I smile.

We take turns looking at the stars, and pointing out constellations. I like hanging out with [Y/N], she's one of the only people I feel like I can actually talk to.

She looks at me, with her sparkling
[E/C] eyes, and smiles.

"Wish I could go on to Kerberos." She laughs.

"Same. Apparently we're 'too young' to go." I laugh. "I'm going to be so worried the whole time. I mean, Dad's on missions and stuff a lot, but now they're both going to be gone."

"I know how you feel." She sighs. "Shiro's never been on a mission of this scale. I'm worried too, and with his health and everything. And to add to that, him and Adam broke up, because Adam tried to make him choose between him and the mission. It's just been a catastrophic week."

"Well, I'm glad we get to spend the weekend together." I smile.

"Yeah, it might be the last like this for a while. After Shiro leaves, I have to stay with my parents until he comes back. And they don't live close." She frowns.

"Let's try not to think about that." I say.

She slides closer to me, and I wrap my arm around her. It feels like we could freeze time forever like this, us, together, watching the stars. I wish we could, but-

~~~
"Pidge?" Lance asks, shaking me from my daydream.
"What?" I growl.
"Come eat. You've been sitting there all day."
I get up, and silently go to the table to eat.
"Pidge, you don't have to sit there all night. The healing pod will take a few days." Allura calmly whispers.
"I don't care, I want to be there when it's done." I frown.
Keith stares at his plate, picking at food the whole time. He's upset, I can tell, but he doesn't want to admit it.
After dinner I go to sit by her pod, with my pillow and blanket. I stay there all night, on my laptop, randomly zoning out and thinking about her.
Well, there's no denying it now. I like her.
(A/N) Yay, she's not dead! XD
