Tiana
When I woke up, my body felt like lead and my mouth tasted like sandpaper. My stomach growls in vexation. The thought of food, still, made me sick.... I rubbed my eyes, as I tried my hardest to get the sleep out of them.
"I see you're awake." Tristan said. I heard the balcony door close.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked, my voice was scratchy, from sleep.
"Five hours. How was your nap?"
I blinked at him. Tristan sat down on the bed beside me. His fingers grazed my slightly damp forehead. "Your fever seems to have gone down a little bit.... you should rest some more."
I glowered at him. "I don't want to."
Tristan bumped, his forehead against mine. His minty breath ghosted across my lips.
I stared at him, through lower lashes. A perturbed expression was on his handsome face, he was gnawing on his bottom lips.I frowned. I've never seen this look on his face before. Tristan caressed my nape. I extracted myself from him. My breath probably smells like ass... ugh. Disgusting.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
He didn't answer right away, which rose my suspicions. Titling my head back, I met his gaze. His eyes were unreadable.
"Tristan what is going on?"
His lips were taunt.
I clenched and unclenched my fist. "I swear to God, if you don't answer me right now, I'll scream!"
He didn't so much as blink at my outburst.
"Are you cheating on me?" Of all the things to blurt out! I wanted smack myself, for that outburst.
Tristan continued looking at me, expressionlessly. I gritted my teeth. This silence was fucking with my head. I sprang up out of the bed, only to stumble into the cream couch, which sat against the bed.
Tristan wrapped his arms around me, before I could embarrass myself further. He pulled me down on his lap. Tristan's head, bumped against my nape.
"Fine you know what, if you want to stay quiet, then........."
"Cathy tried to kill herself."
