Tristan

Tiana slid into the back of the car, silently. I turned off the radio. Twisting my body to the side, I looked at her. Her eyes were puffy and her cheeks were stained with tears.

She sniffled. Reaching over, I touched her knee. "Cathy wants me out of her apartment. Can you swing by the apartment, I need to grab my stuff. If it's not too much of a bother, I would also like it if you could drop me off at Lynn's Bed&Breakfast."

"Like hell I will!"

"Please."

"I will not have my girlfriend, sleeping in some dump. I'm taking you home with me."

Tiana turned away. "I don't want to hinder anyone." Her voice was hoarse. ".... just please Tristan for once, do as I say." She sobbed.

"No. You're not hindering me, and I will not take no for an answer." I squeezed her knees, before turning around and starting up the car. ".... besides I wanted you to move, in with me, before we even returned back here."

Tiana only sniffled.

Fifteen minutes later

Tiana sat down on her bed. Her eyes, were glossy as she stared at the picture frame in her hand. I couldn't help, feeling guilty. If it wasn't for me, and my greedy ways, this wouldn't be happening to Tiana.

Maybe if I had just, ignored her that day in that supermarket.... we wouldn't be here right now.

"I honestly thought she was my friend... I thought that she was different. Turns out I was wrong..." Tiana brushed her tears back. ".... if she loved me, she would have been happy for me. I can never seem to get anything right... I-I always fuck up." She said, her eyes screwed shut and tears streamed down her face.

Moving from out of the doorway, I ambled over to her. Sitting down beside her, I pulled her on my lap. Tiana latched onto me.

She pressed her face against my chest. "... is it so wrong, to want to be happy for once? Does my happiness not mean, shit to her?" Her shoulders shook.

Tiana looked up at me, the tears continued streaming down her face. Her fingers were fisted in my shirt. I slowly rubbed her back up and down. "... are you going to leave me behind as well?"

"Of course not... I will always be here by your side." I cupped her face on both side. Using my thumb I slowly, wiped away her tears. Tiana sniffled loudly.

"P... promise?"

"Mhmm. I promise. I'll always be here." Tiana wrapped, her arms around my neck, she then hid her face, in the crook of my neck.

I couldn't do much, But at least I could hold her until her tears has subsided.
