Tristan

"So..... you got some last night." Stacey said, twirling a strand of her hair, between her fingers.

I choked on the mouthful of coffee. "What the hell!" I coughed.

Stacey looked at me, innocently. "I am just trying to make conversation."

"Who starts a conversation like that?"

"Stacey does." Carolyn said, nibbling on a strawberry. ".... and besides we didn't have to ask. The screams of ecstasy woke us, in the early hours of the morning."

"Your girlfriend is very vocal." Nathaniel, pitched in.

"You also have that post orgasm glow." Stacey purred.

I glared daggers at them. Could this day get any worst?

"By the way, where is she?" Jessie asked.

"Sleeping." I replied. Flipping my newspaper close, I threw it on top of the table.

"You fucked her back to sleep." Nathaniel, said smugly.

I massaged my temple. "Can we not, speak of this?"

"Why not? I mean it is such a fun topic.... I remembered back in the army when I used to hook up with Stacey, you use to give me shit about it. So now it is your turn." Jessie said, wriggling a strip of bacon at me.

"I agree with Jessie." Nathaniel said, bobbing his head.

"You know. I am starting to regret, inviting you guys over."

"Well that's sad. The fun is just about to start." Carolyn said, with a smirk.

I flipped Carolyn the bird and she burst out into laughter. The mood has improved since that disaster that happened, yesterday evening. I took another sip of my lukewarm coffee. Rebecca decided to walk into the room, at that exact time. She didn't even spare me one glance, she just marched over to the coffee maker. Well that's new.

"Morning porcupine." Carolyn said.

"Morning." Rebecca grunted, with a perplexed look on her face.

Sighing, I tried to focus on my tablet screen. Her outburst from yesterday still haunted me. I know that I should be mad at her, but at the same time she is my friend. One of my good friends. Ending our friendship over something as... stupid as this would just be a waste. I wanted to say something to her, but the words were lost. All I could do, was open and close my mouth.

"Earth to Tristan!" Stacey said, snapping her fingers.

Shaking myself from out of my stupor, I turned to her. "Huh? What were you saying?"

"Jesus. You're out of it." Jessie, swirled his spoon around, in his green tea. "She's that good huh?" He wriggled his eyebrow at me.

I smacked myself, on the forehead. God, I wasn't even thinking about that.

"Obviously!" She said, with a roll of the eyes.

I ran my index finger, around the mouth of the cup. "What were you saying?"

"A night out." Stacey said, in glee.

"Um.... I don't know about that."

"Dude. I just spent over two thousand dollars, to come here." Stacey said, pursing her lips together. Her eyes narrowed at me.

"So?" Before Stacey could retort, Tiana flaunted into the room. She was dressed in one of her many oversized shirt. Her hair was tousled from sleep. She was looking adorable today.

"Morning." She muttered.

Without another word, she headed straight for the cupboards.
