Tiana

My feet slapped against the road, as I turned the corner. The early morning, breeze whipped against my face. As I continued running, the weight of the world slowly disappeared and all that remained, was me, the wind and time.

God know, I needed some time alone. Ever since that doctor's, appointment I have been feeling a little stressed. I still haven't come up with a plan as yet.... I was doing some research online for abortion.... but I came up empty.

Abortion was illegal, if someone found out you aborted your child. You could be sent to prison. That scared the shit out of me. So with abortion off my list, I didn't know what I could do, and it's not like I could take the morning after pill. It was too late for that.

It's not like, I wanted to kill this baby... the thought of having Tristan's baby, is actually very thrilling. The problem is I was too young to support a child and myself.... I haven't even finished college as yet, and if Tristan wasn't going to accept this child, then I wouldn't be able to support him or her.

When, I was close to Tristan's house, I slowed down. Placing my hands on my knees, I tried to calm down my racing heart. The early morning sun, glared down on my head.

"Tiana?"

My head whipped up, at the sound of Martha's voice. There she was, leaning against her sliver Prado. It's been two days, since shit hit the fan and Tristan kicked Martha out.

"Martha...." I said, panting.

"Sorry, for uh bothering you, I just wanted to.... deliver a couple things, seeing as its Tristan's birthday today. I tried the buzzer and the gate, but he won't open up.... I just...." Her eyes watered. ".... wanted to see him."

"You need to give him some more time."

"I fear If, I continue like this, he will really think I killed his mother out of jealousy."

Seeing her like, this was breaking my heart. Martha smiled sadly, turning her back to me she grabbed something from the back of her jeep. "Can you make sure, he gets this?" She asked. Facing me once more, she stretched a black USB towards me. I gingerly took it from her. ".... I also wanted to apologize for, ratting you out."

"That's water under the bridge. There's no use in me being angry with you."

Martha teared up at that.

"Tristan will come around, soon enough give him some time."

She sniffled. "Okay."

I touched her shoulder. "Go home and get some rest. You look like, you haven't slept in days."

She blinked her eyes a couple times. "Okay. Also thank you..."

"Mhm. No need to thank me. I'm always happy to help."

She pulled me into a hug. I stiffen against her. Martha rubbed my back. "Take care of yourself and that baby." She whispered, in my ears.

My eyes widen in shock. Martha pulled away, with a watery smile. I was too stunned to even move.

Without another word, she turned and jumped into the drivers seat of her vehicle. Starting up the jeep, she drove off down the smooth gravelly road.

Eh? How did she find out?
