Tiana
Couple days Later
The days flew by, smoothly. Finally it was the day of my release. I was ecstatic and relief at the same time. I've been holed up in this hospital room for seven days. Getting prod everyday was not fun. Especially when you have multiple gun wounds on your body. Sighing, I pushed my feet into my slippers. Doctor Brown handed me, a sheet of paper and I quickly scribbled my name across it. Once again the hospital bill was covered by an anonymous person.
"Well Miss Evans, I will see you in eight weeks time." Doctor Brown chirped.
If i didn't know better, I would have thought he was eager to get rid of me. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised besides I've been nagging him for several days now.
Smirking I bobbed my head at him. The doors to my assigned room opened and Tristan strolled in. My heart beat accelerated. I haven't seen him, in days. Couple days back, he said he would come and check on me, but he didn't show up.
Doctor Brown clapped me on my left shoulder, before hobbling away. Clenching my handbag to my chest, I turned to face Tristan. He pushed his sunglasses up in his hair. "I came to pick you up."
"There was no need for that." I said, with a strained smile.
He didn't answer me. Stepping forward he helped me up. I winced when his hand, brushed against my ribs. Muttering an apology he stirred me out of the room. Being, this close to him was making me feel light headed. I know, I'm being selfish, but I just couldn't help it. I missed him alot.Even if I still missed him and loved him, there was nothing I could do. Tristan was only helping me out because he felt guilty. That was all there was to it. I shouldn't be sad over that. I deserved all of this.
It took us five minutes to reach his vehicle. When we got there, he helped me into the back of his sedan, then he hopped into the front and started up the vehicle. Turning on the engine, he reversed out of the parking lot and drove off down the road. I started fidgeting with the handbag strap."Why did you stay away?" I blurted out.
Tristan calmly shifted the gear stick. The car took a turn off the main road. "I needed some time to think."
Time huh? If he had to resort to that, then our relationship has really come to an end. Suddenly feeling suffocated, I whined the windows down. The late evening breeze blasted in. "There is no need to take me back to your place." I said, in a monotonous tone.
"I already collected your things from that rat invested motel you were staying in."
My head snapped to the side. "You shouldn't have done that." I said, rubbing my temple.
He continued staring at the road. Reaching over, I flipped the radio on. Adele's charismatic voice blared through the speakers. Closing my eyes, I leaned my head on the back of the seat and focused on the scenery outside.
