Tristan

Cathy struggled out of my grip. Pushing her away, I used myself as a shield.

"After everything you've done. You had the audacity to barge into my house uninvited." I said, through clenched lips.

Tears welled up in her eyes. "I just wanted to see her."

"You're not welcomed here."

"What did I do that was so wrong, to deserve this treatment?"

"You and I both know the answer to that." I roared. How dare she act like, she wasn't the one in the wrong.

Both her hands covered her tear streaked face. "Haven't I apologize more than enough?"

"An apology will never be enough." I said, through pursed lips.

Cathy sniffled. Brushing her tears away, She looked at me with a look of defiance. "If only, Tiana hadn't jumped in the way, this wouldn't be happening right now!" Her face twisted. "You've ruined everything! How dare you come between Tiana and I? How dare you?" Pushing her jacket, to the side she unclipped the sliver pistol from her side. Without hesitation she trained the gun on me. "He might have missed, but I fucking won't!" She roared.

I saw red, in that moment. Because of her pettiness, Tiana foolishly risked her life to save me. She barely pulled through and now this bitch wanted to pull the same stunt again. How dare she?

"Cathy, don't do this!" Martha pleaded, in horror.

"Shut up! Shut up! I am tired of you and your endless chatter! Don't you dare forget you murdered Tristan's mother in cold blood!" Cathy laughed. "... Killing this abomination is nothing. I bet dad will rejoice. He has been a plague in our life's for long time. So if I kill him now, nothing will come of it."

Tiana gasped behind me. "So it really was you?" Pushing me to the side, Tiana moved from behind me. "When Taylor delivered those pictures to me, I never believed him. I actually thought that, he was framing you but....."

"I only did this to protect you! Tiana this man has brainwashed you."

"Protect me, from what? What you feel for me, is not love."

Cathy's hand shook, in rage. "Tiana move!" Cathy shouted, spittle flew everywhere."

"No! I won't allow you take him away from me!" Tiana said, stubbornly.

"Why?! Why did you have to choose him?! I was the one, who was suppose to be your lover, not him!" Cathy's hand fell to her side. The gun dangled to the side. "Mom told me, you're with child, is that true?"

"Yes." Tiana said, without hesitation.

Cathy sent everything on the counter, flying. All the pots and pans from this mornings, meal scattered across the floor. "This child will never see the light of day, not while I'm breathing!" Cathy pointed the gun at Tiana's, round stomach.

My blood ran cold when I saw the twisted look on Cathy's face.
