O.O uh..... I wrote this chapter ten times. I'm still not satisfied with it. But bleh..... Anywho enjoy.

Tiana

The city lights glowed in the late hours of the night. Taking a sip from my water bottle. I glanced at my companion expressionlessly.

She was tugging at her ring finger and nibbling on her lips. "T... thank you for coming to see me." She stuttered.

The trees rustled. Folding my legs, I took a sip of my green tea. "Mn." I hummed in response.

She looked down on her lap. "I'm sorry."

"Sometimes sorry isn't good enough sister. Its been nine years since I've last seen you. You can't just expect us, to pick up where we left off."

She touched my hand, I stared at her with an unreadable expression. Tears welled up in her eyes.

"God no. I.... I want a second chance Tiana." She said, sincerely.

"Why?"

She looked at me quizzically.

"Why did you leave me?" I asked.

"I couldn't have took you with me even if i wanted to. You were underage and mom wouldn't have let me take you with me. It wasn't my intention to leave, I just had to I couldn't take the way mom treated me anymore."

"Right but you left me anyways knowing full well, that, that woman was a fucking witch."

"I'm so sorry." She sobbed.

Being angry is just a waste of time and energy. Folding my legs, I sighed. "I'll think about it."

Melissa bobbed her head. "I'm pregnant." She blurted out, when the silence thicken.

My breath hitched in my throat. "Congrats." I said. Rubbing my stomach, I gripped the table clothe.

She nodded her head and started to tear her napkin. "I wanted my child to know you, but mostly I came to check in on you. I would like it if you could be apart of my baby's life."

"That's a lot to ask of me don't you think Melissa. You cant just appear up in my life nine years later and expect us to be one big happy family."

"I wasn't expecting that." She said teary eyes.

I tapped my fingers on the table "Where is the father?"

She shook her head, tears spilled down her cheek. "I.... I... don't know who the father is." She cried.

"Jesus Christ Melissa." I said in shock.

"I don't need you to look at me like that okay Tiana! Not you too..." She cried. Her hands trembled. ".... life hasn't been easy for me. When I left mom's house all those years ago i was living on the streets... for months, until i met this man. He said that I was a nice looking girl and he knew how I could make fast money. He brought me to his house where he had me cleaned up and stuff... I didn't know what he had in store for me but I was willing to do anything because I needed the money... I needed it real bad. I was hungry and I was tired of the streets."

I was lost for words.

She sniffled and pulled on the table cloth.  "I didn't come here to spill my life story, okay Tiana?" She snapped at me. Melinda stood up abruptly. "I shouldn't have come here after all." She pushed her chair back. Grabbing her stuff, she turned and hurried out of the restaurant.

I threw a twenty dollar bill on the table. Pushing my hands in my pocket, I followed behind my sister. She was leaning against the light post. I approached her.

"Look i was not judging you." I said. She didn't turn around. "..... I'm conflicted okay. I'm not disappointed or disgusted. I shouldn't have assumed that you were probably working for a big firm or something. I never knew life was so hard on you. I'm sorry that you had to end up doing whatever it is that man made you do to make fast cash."

She finally faced me.

I folded my arms underneath my breast. "Look I'll give you a second chance. Sometimes people deserves a second chances. I am willing to give you that."

Her shoulders shook as she cried. I stepped forward and pulled her into my arms, she clung to me trembling. "Its alright." I said comforting her.
After five minutes of clinging to me she finally pulled away and brushed back her tears.

"I'm such a crybaby." She said sniffling.

"Guess you just needed to let it all out."

She smiled sheepishly."So what now?"

I shrugged. "I honestly don't know, but I'm willing to try."

She nodded.

"Look I have to go now, but I'll call you later yea?"

"Is something the matter?"

"No just something I got to do."

"Okay be careful." She hugged me again.

Earlier Martha had sent me an invitation for her Halloween party. I already know that Tristan would be there, I fucked up badly already. Honestly I just wanted to fix this thing between Tristan and I.

He means everything to me. And I wasn't thinking clearly when I walked away from him. But now my mind was clearer and I was willing to come clean about everything. I quickly flagged down a taxi.

Patting my sister's shoulder, I told her goodbye and quickly sprung into the vehicle.

Tonight I am going to face my demons.
