Tristan
Taking a deep breath, I unlocked the car door. Because of the heavy rain last night. I had to rent an hotel room.
I wanted to call Tiana and tell her, but I felt that I needed more time to think. Clutching the take out bags in my hands, I climbed the steps slowly. I was being irrational last night.
Guess you could say, after she said no.... I saw red and my fears took over. I shook my head. God I can be so pathetic sometimes. I mean, she really does love me after all.
There's no doubt about it. Even though she has been so distant with me.... I didn't doubt her love for a second. Taking my keys from my pocket, I quickly opened the door with a flick of the risk.
The Jazz music that would usually greet me at the front door, was no longer there. All that was there was silently.
My heart suddenly started to hurt as the many, possibilities of what could have happened ran rampant in my head.Dropping the bags to the floor, I hurried up the steps. Tiana wouldn't leave. I'm just being silly. As I crept closer to our room door, doubt started to slowly consume me. The room door was opened wide, so i ambled inside.
The bed was made up and the closets door were open. Where her clothe once was, was now completely empty. All that remained were the racks. A strangled sound escaped my lips.
Even though, there was not a trace of her in the room. I still called her name. "Tiana!" I didn't want to accept the fact that she left. I wanted to remain positive.
But as the clock ticked away, I realized that she was really gone. I slumped against the bed. Tears splattered against my arm, as I stared off into nothingness. I felt something fluttered against my arm. Turning my head to the side, I stared at the pink strip of paper that was on my arm. Tiana's name was scribbled across it elegantly.
Taking up the paper I flipped it open.
'I'm sorry for everything. I just wanted you to know.... I really did love you. I was not forcing my feelings. They were genuine.
I will never forget you. Thank you for everything.
Tiana.'
So that's it. All those times she said, she wouldn't leave me behind she was actually lying. Wrapping my arms around, my legs I pulled them to my chest.
Everyone always leaves me behind.
