Present Day
SEEING HER ALIVE AFTER 20 millennia makes my mind spin violently. Her dark hair is matted and dull, and her once brilliant blue eyes are devoid of life, a purple sheen covering them. Her lips are pale and chapped, and her skin is almost pasty white and cracked, raised scars covering her visible skin in layers, some reopened by the Hunters that made her into this murderous beast.
"I saw you die," I snarl, rising up to my full height and towering over her. "How the fuck can you still be alive?"
"We thought you'd like to see her again," a familiar voice calls out, making the hairs on the back of my neck rise as a chill sweeps over my body and something reminiscent of fear zap along my veins. "Well, I thought you'd like to see her anyway. After all, she is the mother of one of your children, and was also your lover for quite a few years a couple millennia ago."
"You bastard! You did this to your own sister?!"
He steps out of the darkness and, behind me, Cayden and Serenity let out snarls, Ina and Max echoing the savage sounds. In front of them stands a darker-skinned version of my brother-in-law, and he's someone that would deform and torture his own flesh and blood in order to get what he desires. In this instance, he wants revenge on me for the death of his sister, and he is doing that by tormenting me through bringing Mei back to life in order to turn her into something unnatural and something not even Eve would create because of the torment and pain it would cause the host.
Jordan smirks, his eyes glowing molten orange. "My sister is dead. She died the day she gave birth to that thing you call a daughter, and it all stems back to you, brother."
'He used Dark Magic to bring her back to life,' Kai whispers in disbelief through our Blood Bonded mind-link. 'It's more forbidden than what Esther did in order to save her children.'
Kol snarls. 'This bastard should have known better than to mess with Dark Magic. It has a heavy price.'
'He has no soul,' Cayden breathes in disbelief. 'The Dark Magic took his soul away from him.'
'That is the price of using such detestable Magic,' Kemuri growls, his emotions churning within him at the sight of Mei's tormented state. 'It should not even been called Magic for what it is used for.'
I snarl and the mind-link goes silent, the entire Pack's shock and fear reverberating through the Pack Bond. Before their very eyes, my bones snap and heal, growing thicker and stronger, and my height grows drastically until I'm towering over them all. Niall lets out a low whistle, and Jerome nudges him in the ribs, grinning maniacally as I become more beastly and chaotic than any of my Pack members have seen before. Even Eve, Kemuri, and Augustus are scared at my form, and they know the full extent of my Power and abilities. The three siblings were there when I was created in a supernatural sense, and they all had their own opinions and perceptions on how I should be made.
Jordan grins and waves his hand, eyes flaring molten orange as he attempts to hurt me. My own mirror his for a split second as I cast a Protection Spell on my Pack, and his eyes darken in hatred as his spell rebounds back to him and his Hunters, sending quite a few to the ground. The darker skinned male grits his teeth as I double over, my spine snapping in several places, the small bones morphing and growing, my skin stretching out on my back as the bones grow upwards, creating blunt spikes. The dark grey skin over them hardens and red and white vein-like lines wrap around them, giving them a dark, twisted appearance.
"You've broken every rule of nature." My voice comes out layered and distorted, feminine voices and other male voices mixing with mine as the Witches on the Other Side channel through me. "Jordan Forest, you have desecrated and destroyed your family's honour and lineage forever more."
The male in front of me winces as he recognises his mother's voice amidst the cacophony. "Mamma, I-"
"Be quiet, Jordan. There is nothing to be said to someone as disgraceful as you. You have revived your sister, and tortured and tormented and experimented on her, turning her into this unnatural being."
"I had no choice. Mieczyslaw deserves to die for ending my sisters life."
All hell breaks loose.
Literally.
The earth cracks open and Demons claw their way to the surface, twisted screams leaving them, causing Sam, Dean, and Castiel to tense, their weapons at the ready. Beside them, Jesse raises his hands higher, more Demons pouring out of the fissure in the earth. They swirl around in the air for a moment before flying off in search of hosts, returning minutes later with almost a hundred New Orleans citizens, eyes a glossy black and downright demonic. Launching themselves at Jordan's Hunters, the fight begins in a bloodbath, Demons and Hunters falling left, right and centre.
At that, the Pack behind me charge forward, roaring and snarling as they collide with the multitude of Hunters and Demons fighting for the survival of my Mate's children. Kemuri and Sasayaki flank me, their eyes trained on Mei, her head cocked to the side and her lips spreading into a twisted grin, baring her razor sharp, elongated teeth. Then, she charges, purple wings spread out behind her and claws lengthened and at the ready. I push whatever Humanity I have remaining to the deepest part of my mind and snarl, pivoting and sending a kick to her stomach.
She continues attacking, swiping her claws at me and trying to trip me with her tail, and I throw my hands forward, sending waves of fire at her, courtesy of my Salamander, Phoenix, and Witch. Mei screeches in annoyance and flies up into the air to avoid the heat. While Dragons are fireproof, the heat can still be overbearing for us sometimes. Grinning sadistically, my eyes turn a mixture of red and black and I push off the ground, tackling Mei in mid-air, and sending us both crashing to the hard, tar road. She roars in pain and thrashes under me as I pin her down, snarling down at her, my head tilted to the side and my mouth open to reveal my venom coated teeth.
I bury my claws into her scarred arms and rear my head back before moving forward at Original Vampire speed to bury my fangs into her throat, sending a multitude of venom into her system. She screams in pain and spasms underneath me as I pull away, her blood dripping from my mouth, and down her throat onto the black tar. Pain shoots through me and a roar escapes my lips, my eyes darting up to search the battlefield for what could have caused the pain. Once I find it, despair hits me like a tonne of bricks.
