THE PACK WATCH WITH unabated horror as the unearthly light from their Alpha burns down onto Jordan and the Hunters, but seems to encircle Mei, not touching the former Human with its scathing Power. Unadulterated screams of terror and pure agony fill the air as the light touches their skin, forcing them to the ground and making them clutch at their bodies. The continuous agonising sounds pierce through the night sky like a hot knife through butter and bury themselves into the ears of all those who can hear them, making all who hear the screams flinch and try their best to not focus on it.
The Hunter's bodies become covered in burns, bubbling and popping; bursting and making blood stream from their broken skin as they scream in pure agony. Wounds fester and burn from the contradictory temperature of the unforgiving light; both ice cold and burning hot at the same time - so cold that it's hot, really. Skin melts under the wielder's innate focus, and, soon enough, muscle and veins and arteries can be seen without the layers of skin protecting them. Not much later, the muscle catches alight after all the moisture has been sucked from it, the fleshy substance crumbling like ash and falling to the ground alongside the bones of the Hunters.
From inside the Mikaelson house on the corner, Kai and Theo are staring out to where they believe their best friend and Bonded to be amidst the light. Kol's stiffening body is cradled in Kai's lap, Davina crying over her lost Mate and Theo kneeling by their sides, both Kai and Theo fighting the agony and tears threatening to overflow from the loss of a Blood Bonded and the waves of pure emotion coming from the most powerful being they know; their broken best friend. The two only wish that Kol were there so they are not forced to feel such a thing, but it cannot be.
Isaac shuffles the majority of the Pack further into the house, reluctantly leaving the more significant - and stronger - members to stare out to where their one true Alpha is fighting off the army of Hunters who came for his Mate's children. With bright purple eyes, he gives the beings one final look before making his way through the house to his wounded Mate, leaving them to stand guard for if any of the Hunters broke free from Stiles' unbridled wrath. Derek looks over his shoulder as the other Alpha walks into the shadows before returning his gaze to his other Mate, his arms wrapped around the strawberry blonde Banshee in front of him.
Serenity, Cayden, Jessie, Ina, and Max have pure agony in their eyes as they watch their respective husband, brother-in-law, uncle and father slaughter without mercy or chance for retribution, Ina's hand tightly gripping that of her Demon Mate's. Beside them, Furu, Sasayaki, and Kemuri have similar expressions: the young half-blood feeling sick to her stomach witnessing the damage her father can do without much trouble at all, and the Dragon and Draconite standing behind her are frightened for their friend, Blood Bonded in Kemuri's case, having known Stiles for millennia - they're not sure how this will effect him.
Niall, Sarah, and Felicity watch their father/father-in-law with horror, all feeling repetitive blows to their respective Concepts. Niall can feel all their malicious and violent deaths, Sarah can feel all their lives being cut savagely short, and Felicity can feel the fates coming to pass without hesitation or consideration. Stiles' nieces and nephew are a contrasting spectrum, much like their Concepts. Jerome feels the chaos coming off his uncle, and it unnerves even Chaos himself. Maia, being Time, feels slight pinches as the Hunters' individual times come to an end. Alaska feels physically sick at the chaos due to her being Peace, but she can also feel the dead Hunters being at peace once they have passed on.
When the light begins to waver, everyone looking out to the road is instantly alert, their wary eyes trained on the darkness that rapidly grows. Even with their supernatural eyes, they can't see much in the darkness of the early morning until the sun begins to peak above the buildings in the distance. At the arrival of the sun, they can finally see the aftermath of Stiles' attack: piles of bone and ash, puddles of what appear to melted humans, large sprays of blood from where some bled out, and chunks of pieces of bodies from where some exploded.
Only one body from the army that came is in one piece - that of Jordan Forest. However, he is mutilated beyond recognition, and it turns all of their stomachs. Lydia's hand comes up to cover her mouth as her body jerks, dry heaving, and Derek's eyes are wide with sickening horror, jaw tense as he swallows hard. Ina lets out a cry and hides her face in Jesse's neck, Furu mimicking her half-sister with Max, and the two males tearing their eyes away from the gruesome scene to comfort their family. The six Concepts simply close their eyes or turn their heads away, much like the Cadmans, and Sasayaki and Kemuri.
As the sun rises enough above the buildings to bathe the battleground in earthly light, Lydia and Derek make out Stiles' Human form walking towards them, a limp body held gently in his arms, their head resting against his chest. Instantly they know that it is Mei; Furu's mother, and Stiles' former lover. Her skin has returned to normal and her wings and tail have disappeared, much like Stiles' mutilated and grotesque form from the battle against - no, the slaughter of the Hunters who thought they could take what they wanted and create what they wanted.
He walks into the Mikaelson home and past his family without so much as a word, making his way past where the rest of his Pack are. Moving on autopilot, he carries Mei's broken and unconscious body to the spare room closest to his, laying her on the bed and staring down at the one he thought he lost millennia ago when he gained a daughter. Suddenly, exhaustion hits him and he collapses to the ground, hitting his head on the hardwood floor and becoming ensnared by the darkness of something more pure that what he just wielded.
It's Derek that finds his Mate out cold on the floor, instantly finding an almost non-existent pulse and letting out a breath of relief before picking up the whiskey-eyed creature and carrying him to their shared bedroom - Stiles' bedroom really - where Lydia is already asleep on the bed. The Alpha Werewolf lays his Mate on the bed before climbing in alongside his newfound family, closing his eyes and trying his best to sleep after the chaos.
Lydia feels the dip in the bed as her Mates join her, and then the five other little presences that join them as the pups clamber up onto the king sized bed alongside their parents.
