Chapter 15

Zoe's POV

Everyone's finally here and I'm ecstatic.

Ashton's drinking like crazy and everyone else is just drinking.

"Luke?" I ask.

"Yeah I-" he cuts himself off.

"Zoe , I think you have a burglar" he says wide-eyed.

"WHAT?" I screech.

"Don't worry, okay. Just...do you have anything baseball bat like?"

"What d'you mean don't worry? I can't exactly sit here sipping tea"

"Find me something then" I hand him a baking tray from the kitchen.

"Oh and Luke please don't get hurt" I peck on the cheek.

By now me and Alex are hyperventilating and the boys are lining up behind Luke with random culinary weapons.

"Good luck" I kiss him again.

I watch from the glass doors.

He creeps cautiously towards the figure shimmying over my garden wall.

He raises the baking tray slowly and silently.

Just as he's about to swing it over the intruders head he pauses.

Then he lowers it and grabs the so called burglar by the waist into my garden.

"What the hell are you doing?" I shriek.

"More importantly what the hell is Sophie doing" he chuckles lightly.

"Sophie who?" I frown.

"Sophie, Ashton's plus one" he explains.

"You know, I think I would like you better if the first time we met you weren't trying to climb over my garden wall" I smile amused.

"Yeah well how else d'you expect me to get in"

"The door maybe?" I suggest slightly annoyed with her already for no particular reason.

"I didn't really think I'd get in when he chucked me out" she jerks her thumb at Ash.

The boys all turn around to stare at him before blurting out as many cruel names as they can think of.

Not that it matters as Ashton ignores them completely and just stares at Sophie.

"I'm an idiot" he mutters.

"If you think I'm just going to forgive you-"

"Ash why are you covered in bruises" Calum asks pointing to his black eye.

" 'cause" he replies raising a glass.

Sophie elegantly makes her way over to him.

Her saffron coloured dress swishing as she walked, still sitting perfectly on her even after the wall issue.

She brushes a strand of hair away from her large caramel eyes.

"Thank you" she says into his ear even though we could all hear what she said.

She pulls his face in front of hers and kisses him.

Alex POV

I know tonight's all about Zoe and stuff but I have to say something.

Something I really don't want to say.

Something I really don't want to happen.

I turn to Calum and whisper.

"We need to talk"

"Now?" he whines putting down his beer.

"Yes now" I sigh.

"Fine" I pull him into the hall.

"You know how we were talking about us" I start.

"Yeah I do" he gives me a crooked smile.

"And you said-"

"We should be an us" he interrupts

"Well yeah, I agree about that"

"Cool" he shrugs.

"Anyway on the subject of us you know how Luke and Zoe are gonna have a baby?"

"Yeah" he screws up his nose slightly.

"Well I don't know how to put this..." I look into his eyes.

"But so are we"
