Secret Feelings

We've known each other since we were small

Laughed together, cried together, been through it all

You've made me smile when there was no happiness I could find

Kept me sane when I was losing my mind

You're my best friend, nothing more

So saying how I feel is an unwinnable war

Today we're watching a movie at your house

I'm timid and quiet, a nervous mouse

Because I don't want to throw our years of friendship away

I'm fearing that I'll do something wrong, that you won't stay

I'm home, you're still here

Don't know how long I can keep silent my dear

Today you're sleeping over, laying peaceful, deaf to what I said

I want to hold you, kiss you, so many thoughts are in my head

I've kept my feelings secret for years

Today I am crying joyful tears

As I see you walking to me, in your beautiful white dress

When you said those four words, I didn't hesitate to say yes

Now here you are, walking with a smile full of pride

Beautiful, elegant, my soon to be bride
