A white rose petal

Falls to the ground below

Lays still and settle

As it dies in the snow

It's once beautiful color fades

White wilts to black

Footsteps echo through the winter's night

Steady and even, as if a music track

Another set appear and both quicken, one of anger, one of fright

The song they make suddenly ends

One body falls and the other is gone

In agony the fallen body twists and bends

They draw their last breath as night turns to dawn

Blood pools from the dead

Trickles among fallen leaves

Another petal falls and is stained with red

Move with caution for life deceives

There's never a moment you should be at ease

For if you are, you will die

As will these two dying flowers, freezing in the icy breeze
