Lunar Twins (Zeldris x OC) (Escanor x OC)

Part 18

Chi woke up alone in a panic.

"Mera?"

"MERA?"

"MERA!?"

No one responded to Chi.

Where was her sister?

Her beloved, weak, overly trusting other half?

Gloxinia had left Chi alive.

She got up and tried to walk away only to discover that one of her legs had been rooted to the ground.

Okay.

Chi had roots growing out of one of her legs.

Why?

Was she...

Gloxinia.

Gloxinia had split the twins apart.

He'd probably taken Mera back to the Ten Commandments.

While worrisome, Chi was pretty sure Zeldris wouldn't hurt Mera.

In the meantime, Chi could convince Escanor to help her get her sister back and maybe even kill Melascula and Galand. Maybe the Seven Deadly Sins could help Chi and Mera get back home. And the way Escanor talked about Lady Merlin led Chi to suspect that the mage might be able to put Chimera back into a single body.

If her twin agreed to it.

Chi didn't like this.

Sure, she had always dreamt of having her own body, but this was weird.

Weird enough that the Martian was tempted to kill Gloxinia for messing with a pair of Lunar Twins.

Would Mera's powers fade the longer the two were apart?

Chi had no answer to that question.

Her efforts not to cry in fear and panic proved fruitless, but she couldn't just sit and feel sorry for herself while her sister was so far away in the company of people who, Zeldris and perhaps Gloxinia aside, wanted to kill her.

She swatted at her tears and wiped them away and she marched back into the caves. The sun was up, which meant Escanor's larger self would be, too.

She walked into the darkness, looking for her friend and calling to him.

"I'm here," Escanor said when he heard her, "It's morning. You must be Mera, then, right?"

"I wish. I'm Chi. The demon I went after last night split us in half and took Mera away... Can I borrow your axe?"

"The axe comes with me attached to it."

Chi hugged her friend and he led her into his bar so the two of them could start planning.
