Lunar Twins (Zeldris x OC) (Escanor x OC)

Part 23

A man with wings fluttered to where Shu'tar was standing. He looked like a hippie with his long pink hair. Was this man supposed to be some kind of powerful demon warrior?

"Who are you?" Shu'tar asked.

"I could ask you the same question. The name's Gloxinia."

"Shu'tar. General Shu'tar. I'm here to find Princess Chimera."

The man had the audacity to laugh at him.

"So you're Shu'tar? General Shu'tar? I thought you'd be more intimidating."

"Is Princess Chimera in this area?"

"Half of her is."

Shu'tar drew his energy pistol and pointed it at the demon.

"Choose your next words carefully. If any harm has come to the princess then it will cost you your life and the lives of everyone else on this wretched rock you call a planet."

Gloxinia laughed some more.

"She's fine. What I mean is that I managed to split the Lunar Twins into two separate bodies. One twin is here, and the other is elsewhere."

"Take me to her."

"Which one?"
"The closest one."

"Jeez, you seem like you'd be Chi's type but okay."

Gloxinia led Shu'tar into the expanse of dark waves made of what appeared to be melted rock. What would the queen think of her daughters being split and having their own bodies. That posed some problems for the line of succession, to be sure. Who would take the throne? Could the twins be fused back into one body?

They reached the centre of the mass of waves and whichever half of Princess Chimera was in the area was leaning on a man in red, unconscious. The man turned his head, then, seeing Shu'tar, carefully laid the princess on the stone the pair had been resting on so he could stand and greet him.

"General Shu'tar."

"You know me?"

"I've participated in a memory ceremony with Mera. I know you as well as she does. What do you want with her?"

"To bring her home."

"Has something requiring her attention happened back on Mars?"
"I'd say our wedding requires her attention."

"The twins are in separate bodies, now. Surely you won't marry both of them."

"Where is Princess Chi, then?"

"In a mountainous region not far from here. Since my comrade is looking to redeem himself after an incident earlier, it seems he's volunteered to escort you."

"I didn't catch your name."
"Zeldris. Prince of Darkness and son of the Demon King. You'd best be going."

Shu'tar didn't like these demons or their weird green energy, but he followed Gloxinia away from the sleeping Princess Mera and towards the twin he liked better.
