The twins pressed their foreheads together, doing a quick Memory Ceremony to catch each other up on all that had happened while they were apart. Mera's absorption of Chi's memories took far longer, as Chi had decided to entrust her memories to Escanor and Escanor had entrusted his to Chi while the pair strategized.

When the Memory Ceremony had concluded, Mera gave Escanor a knowing smile. He seemed like a sweet, genuine, and honest man. Perfect for Chi in a way that Mera had never even considered. And, perhaps more importantly to their mother, Escanor was a prince. Perhaps it was time for the Martian Royal Family to marry off-planet. Mera knew not to broach the subject with Zeldris, who was far too busy invading Britannia to worry about wedding preparations, and wondered if it would be best to send her sister back home to be heiress. The only thing that complicated that particular plan was Shu'tar... and Escanor's love for Merlin. Still, if Escanor truly believed that Merlin didn't love him, it was possible Chi might be able to convince him to visit Mars just like Mera might be able to convince Zeldris.

Or both twins could return, bringing both Earth princes with them.

See, mother? Chi could imagine saying, our trip to Earth was not an excuse to shirk our duty but was a diplomatic mission to begin building relations with the natives of Earth.

Shu'tar, shockingly, was also thinking of bringing Terran royalty back to Mars as a show of power masked as diplomacy. He'd had time to talk with Gloxinia, who had introduced himself as the first fairy king, and had concluded that brining the primitive being home with him would silence the people who said the general was incapable of diplomacy.
