Zeldris sensed an incoming presence and moved to draw his sword. He didn't know who the human standing near Chi was and he didn't care. Not when Meliodas was headed towards the mountain, anyway. There was no denying that the human's energy was impressive, but he had befriended the twins which meant Zeldris was pretty sure the colossal human wasn't a threat to him.

"We should go home," Chi said.

"You're welcome to join us," Mera said, "all of you."

"I'd be happy to visit your planet," the human said, "as long as we travel by night."

Chi nodded.

Zeldris wanted to go.

\He did.

He just wasn't sure if he could.

There were so many variables. His father, for starters. His father wouldn't appreciate any delay in the crusade to conquer Britannia and free the demon race from the seal imposed on them by the goddesses, but a chance to make powerful allies from another planet sounded appealing. He could spin his visit that way if pressed by his father to talk about it.

The mission was supposed to come first.

But he really wanted to see where Mera was from in person. He wasn't satisfied with just her memories, no matter how vivid they were and, if he couldn't convince Mera to stay on Earth, then visiting her was the next best thing.

But the Ten Commandments were in the middle of a war.

True, it had been easy so far and Meliodas was the lone threat to the mission, but Zeldris wasn't sure he could risk leaving at this stage.

But he wanted to.

And he could always leave someone mature and intelligent in charge.

And there were nine other demons with commandments.

"I'd love to go, too," said Gloxinia with a smirk.

Zeldris glared at him.

Make that eight other demons with commandments.
